I might just found my new best friend! After a long (and quite
expensive) search for something that would truly help to mattify my T-zone I
finally discovered powder that actually works for almost whole work day. I’m
talking about compact setting powder
from Artdeco. It is transparent finishing powder, which doesn’t give scary
ghost-like look, but more polished and silky doll face. My other mattifying
powder ˝Sexy mama˝ from The Balm has
a claim that is transparent, but it shows up orangey and truly noticeable on
me. It is good, but cakey and you really need a light hand with application.
I discovered trough the years that face products from Artdeco are truly very
good. All of them are made in Germany, so you need to pay a little bit more,
but are trusty and high quality.
As I said powder is hardly visible if any, still I believe you can
overreact with application. It doesn’t contain oils, so it’s very appropriate
for oily and sensitive skin. Manufacturer says that it won’t mess your
foundation, I use it on its own and to set my under eye concelaer. It has no
smell, after opening its recommended to use it within a year. Powder comes in standard
and firm plastic, refillable compact case which includes 7g of product. There’s
a mirror inside, applicator is not included. Powder is finely milled and
suppose to give you airbrushed effect. I truly don’t have any negative things
to say about it, except the price. It is expensive for a drugstore brand as
most products from Artdeco are, it costs almost 23€.
I currently apply it with a big fluffy brush from Ebelin, which is a bit too big, but powder still does a
wonderful job.
