Last night, my two friends and I went to Novo mesto to see the new
Bridget Jones movie – Bridget has a baby. This was my girl's ˝night˝ out after
a long time and I was super excited for days. I even planned my outfit, including
nail polish and perfume – this sounds so desperately I know, but I rarely go
out. My ˝life˝ mostly happens at work, regular trips to shopping malls and of
course visits to my boyfriend in Ljubljana. I usually wear jeans, my favorite
shoes are Sketchers. This year I promised myself that I will invest in more
elegant clothes, no more girly T-shirts and childish patterns. Ok, I got
carried away.
Our little trip was short, but awesome. Firstly we went to a bookstore
to buy some presents for upcoming family birthdays. We could just stay there
forever admiring nicely designed book covers and playing with children’s books.
Who say that men are visual creatures? We are obsessed with shiny things and we
just want to buy everything possible. Then we went on the sunny terrace for a
coffee and good old girl talk. There were so many topics to catch up. We had
some serious and loud sessions of laugh, which is always a nice thing. Our
final stop was movie theater. It was clear from the beginning – this is a movie
for women. Cinema was full of girls of
all ages. We armed ourselves with snacks and drink like we are preparing for a
hurricane. Of course, we ate everything. Ironically women’s restroom was out of
order, so we needed to go to the men’s. But as I said, there were no men last
night in the movie – am I writing too many details here?
