This fragrance was first blind buy for me, based on reviews from
Fragrantica.com and a successful one, because I felt in love instantly. I
bought it two years ago, just when I started with my new job, so this milestone
was a great excuse for me to buy myself a new perfume. I never tried the
original version of pour femme from the 90s, so I can’t make any comparisons,
but this supposed to be something totally different and more modern. With its
sweetness it supposed to attract younger buyers and I also believe that it
suits them more, but this is of course matter of personal taste, not age.
Top notes: neroli, raspberry, mandarin orange
Middle notes: jasmine, orange blossom
Base notes: marshmallow, vanilla, heliotrope, sandalwood
Pour femme is described as floral, but I would say it’s far from being a
typically floral. Marshmallow note assures it some powderness and sweetness and
gives it gourmand touch. It would say it is dominating note along with hint of
mandarins and raspberry, which appear on the start. That’s basically all I can
smell. It’ quite a simple scent, which doesn’t change much. At the dry down
becomes just sweeter and more powdery. There’s not lot of freshness in it, so
it can be overwhelming sometimes. I believe it would be nicer if the freshness
from the beginning would be present at whole fazes of the scent. I spray just
once and that’s enough for me. It’s again matter of taste and preferences, but
I would say it’s definitely a wintery scent. It lasts on my very long, the
whole work time. It’s a nice scent for every day, every occasion, just safe
choice for everyone who likes sweet fragrances. It’s a crowd pleaser for sure,
but nothing special. It gives me some girly, flirty vibes and my boyfriend
adores it.
At this moment it’s the only fragrance I own that doesn’t give me an
itchy rash on the skin. Every fragrance I bought in the last year and a half
causes me a skin reaction and I can only wear it on my clothes, which I don’t
like so much.
There’s a newer flanker of this fragrance, called ˝Four femme Intense˝,
which supposed to be fresher and less sweet, so I would really like to try it.
The bottle is simple and elegant, with golden details and red cap. I own
the smallest one, which contains 25ml. It comes in the most classy, expensive
looking, red velvety box. I got mine for 28€ which I believe is not expensive
for a designer fragrance.
