Winter pampering routine

Happy Friday everyone!

Once a week I dedicate some time just to myself. To be exact, I’ve got time for me every afternoon, but usually Fridays are major days in pampering. I will describe my ideal winter scenario which I’m trying to stick to as much as possible.
My session starts with putting hair ˝mask˝ on my hair - dry oil from Caudalie (next time I’ll but the one from Nuxe). Then I continue with some moving. My favorite way of working out is training on stair master, I try to do that twice a week. Sometimes I do some Pilates exercises, weight lifting or just dance on my favorite music in the dark. I don’t work out regularly and I’m not a sporty person, just trying to do something good for my body (I’m still in Ney year – new me faze), with periodic lack of motivation. Let’s move on from working out to the bathroom.

Face peelings supposed to be done every week, but I don’t like them, so I often skip this part. Although my skin is quite greasy; I’m not obsessed with cleansing. After cleaning my face, if I exfoliate, I use visibly clear scrub from Neutrogena for oily to normal skin. It is quite harsh, so it’s not suitable for sensitive skin. It does the job super good and leaves the skin with that dehydrating, tightening feeling and even redness. Every two weeks or so, I use nose strips for (partly) removing blackheads (and hair). My favorite at this moment are from Essence because of the price, but the most effective I ever used were from Nivea. In the future I would like to try some from Korean cosmetics brands (Holika Holika?), which are popular right now. Ok after removing my nose strip I’ve got two options for moisturizing, I can choose between face oil from Caudalie or mattifying fluid from Afrodita. It’s just a matter of my mood I guess. But before hopping to hot water, I think it’s better to use oil, it prevents dry skin and additional wrinkles. Around my eyes I apply argan oil from Melvita.

Let’s concentrate on body now. For body scrub and massaging I use dry brushing technique. I must admit it’s not my favorite part of process, but I read how many benefits it may bring. Not only removing dead skin cells, but also somehow helps with detoxing. I can’t confirm that, because I don’t dry brush that often and I’m not an expert on this area. Next step is hair removal, also nothing inviting or interesting. I’m more into rough peelings, such is anti cellulite one from Alverde, with gorgeous smell of lemon and rosemary.

Then it is finally time for bath. As I mentioned a few times before, I adore bubble bars and bath bombs from Lush. At this moment, I would like to try Ladybug from Valentine’s collection. Baths are always so relaxing and put me in good spirit as long as the water is hot enough. After 15 minutes of daydreaming and building bubble castles it’s time to wash my hair – my current favorites are OGX shampoos. I loved Kukui oil, but can’t find it anymore. Bath products which contain baking soda are good cleansers for your hair, they prevent building up products vinegar has the same function of cleaning, but it stinks terribly to me. Yves Rocher has a solution, raspberry vinegar which sounds like a good product to try. Anyway rich oils from Lush bath products will provide you hydration, but you need to be careful if they contain strong colors or glitter.

The grand finale represents putting on a rich moisturizer, at this moment I love a pure classic, body butter from The Body shop - Honeymania. Then it’s time for cooling down, usually in front of TV. After this routine I sleep like a baby and feel really great.
