I was never particularly drawn to trend of mate lips, especially after
having bad experiences with this king of lipsticks. They were all very dry,
mostly uncomfortable to wear and just didn’t suit me. Then I accidentally discovered
HM mat liquid lipsticks from Revlon on some beauty blog and felt in love with
swatches of Seduction instantly. I’m a big fan of ˝my lips but better˝ colors,
but can hardly find nude lipstick that looks good on me. First I was still a
bit skeptical about the color and mat effect, but when I finally got it, it was
just right for me.
To my eyes, Seduction looks like orange-brown . It doesn’t dry totally,
but just partly mat I would say, so there’s no need to worry that it would make
you look washed off. It has specific creamy/fluffy formula. I would recommend applying
it in thin layer, because it is pigmented enough, otherwise it would crumble.
Trust me when I say that is easy and pleasant to wear, because I’m very picky
and sensitive about that feeling. It has specific smell and taste which reminds
me on strawberries and cheese cake, but that goes away quickly. The color is
quite long lasting, but fades strangely, so occasional checkups will be needed.
It gives me that 90s vibe ala Danna Scully from The x files.
Packaging is inviting and looks expensive; thick plastic gives a feeling
of frosted glass tube. Applicator is typical for glosses or in this case liquid
lipsticks and absorbs too much product for nice application. This shade was
difficult to find, I had to check three stores before I found it. Originally
this product is available in 16 shades in our country just in 7. The price was
around 12€ what is a lot for a drugstore item. It become one on my favorite
products and I’m very happy that I found a perfect nude color. First time in my
life I got compliments for a lipstick! My friend also likes it and she bought
it for herself.
