Lancome: Juicy Shaker in Bee-Ness Girl

In a recent year oils become a staple in my beauty routine. I especially love to use then on my frequently styled hair, for moisturizing my face and dry area around my eyes. I haven’t found good body oil yet, but I prefer body butters anyway. Latest addition to my family of oils is a famous Juicy Shaker from Lancome in Bee-Ness Girl. Juicy shakers came out last spring, but this color is new, from 2017 collection.

If you live under a rock, let’s repeat what a Juicy Shaker is (hope this didn’t sound offensive). It is pigmented two phased lip oil. One phase contains transparent oil and the other one a color pigment. When you mix them together with fun shaking, you get tinted, shiny lip oil. This lip cocktail contains mixture of 4 different oils: peach kernel, sweet almond, cranberry and muscat rose.

Let’s get straight to the point. It’s not as good as everyone on Youtube says (especially if video is sponsored), but I didn’t expect too much from it either. Formula is nicely shiny, non sticky and has a very poor lasting power. I can’ talk about a color payoff because mine is almost clear with some glitter in it. It gives you that super luxury feeling for 10-15 minutes I would say and then it’s gone. That’s it.

To me it’s not such a great moisturizer. I can even say that it dries out my lips. Who would ever think that super greasy oil can do that right? And what convinced me to buy it? Honey. I love honey products and when I saw that there’s going to be a new honey flavored version of this product I just had to buy it. It really has a perfect flowery-honey taste and smells reminds me of expensive suntan lotion. Sadly it fades away too fast and it’s not overpowering. And the second think that I really like about it is the cute and in some way innovative packaging. Its big spongy applicator gives such a satisfying application that it’s just crazy. Shaking the product and applying it it’s the best part. A was afraid that lip oily would be messy to use, but it is definitely not.

I bought this just to occasionally spoil myself. It somehow makes me feel great and special when I apply it. I use it just at home, for myself, at the end of a long day as a treat. This may sound strange, but it works for me. I just wish it would be more nourishing, so I wouldn’t need to reapply it so often and have if for longer. Let’s skip the price tag here.
