MAC Pro Longwear Blush - Baby don't go

Today I want to present you another shy and versatile blush. A few week ago I wrote that I won’t buy another MAC blush, because you can definitely find drugstore dupes, but I was wrong, you just can’t always do that and MAC was my solution. Or maybe this is just my excuse for splurging and I should search more. ˝Baby don’t go˝ is from pro-long wear line of blushes. I look for it this morning on official web page, but I couldn’t find it anymore, so I assume this is discontinued now. But you can definitely still find it in other web shops, or even Ebay, if you trust your seller.

Baby don’t go is described as light cool beige color with light sheen. On first sight it looks like a contour powder or light bronzer for fair skin tones, it is not typical blush. Lately we’ve been noticing a lot of ˝no makeup˝ makeup looks, which include nude blush. It might not show up extra natural if you’re strictly pale. Blushes with pink, violet or reddish tones can be unflattering during summer. You’re often hot, so you naturally blush in your cheeks and if you add a bit of color with blusher, you may look funny. At least I feel like that, so a neutral blush can be solution for summer days.

This blush hasn’t got very good reviews, because it show up only on lighter skin tones. It is not very pigmented, but can be built up. Luckily it shows up on my cheeks and is very flattering. It has discreet shimmer, but you are still free to use highlighter on the top. There’s not a big chance to overdo it, but it’s possible, especially if you use stippling brush (don’t ask). I especially like, that it cool enough and doesn’t become orange on me. It is again the type of product that can be used when you’re half asleep or in rooms with bad light. It was once a part of some kind of ˝office friendly˝ collection named ˝Office Hours˝ from 2012 which included nude lipstick and blushes. I wouldn’t say it is long wearing, like average blush. Packaging is standard, nothing special to say about it.

This is very versatile blush, but not for someone who likes strong colors. I saw that some people use this also as transitional eyeshadow or light contour. It’s a shame if it’s really discontinued, but I believe MAC will soon come out with something even better, because nude it always trendy.
