As much as I love fall, there is also one thing that makes me going
crazy. I understand that seasonal hair loss is normal for most of us,
especially women supposed to be much more prone to it then men. But anyway,
every year it makes me sad and concern, my self-esteem drops again and I became
obsessed with looking at how many hair did I lost during washing, brushing,
styling, sleeping… sounds crazy or familiar? As I grow older I noticed that my
hair is not so full ant thick anymore and that additional hair loss makes me
worried that will be noticeable. I believe that it is, at least to me. Other of
course says that is not. Maybe they just don’t want to hurt me. I know that my
ponytail in thinner that it used to be, it’s true and I’m not imagining it.
I don’t consider myself to be depressed, just occasionally sad because
of this. I try to console myself with pictures from the web. I’m not alone in
this and many people have serious problems with hair loss, baldness… I just
experience seasonal hair shedding. The problem is in my head and not on it.
What can you do for stronger and healthier hair and inner peace? This
will not be professional advices for serious, health hair loss problems, but
only for normal seasonal changes.
Don’t worry about it – this is the hardest part. How can you not
worry? It’s about hair, which is very important and visible part of every
person’s appearance. At least it’s very important to me. It’s my crown.
Think positive – it’s temporarily. It might seem that it
lasts for a long period, but it won’t last forever.
Eat well – as we all know good, healthy choice of food has
big impact on our health. We need to eat right to feel and look right. Also
keeping a healthy lifestyle is very important, but I’m sure you’ve heard this
so many times before. Here’s a list of food, which is great for your hair: fish (especially salmon), nuts, seeds,
green leafy vegetables, carrots, eggs, yogurt, berries, beans, millet. It
is necessary to drink a lot of water.
Take care of your hair – we should be gentle with our hair. That means
that is recommended to keep your styling with hoot tools on minimum. You should
avoid wearing tight ponytails and tons of bobby pins. Use elastics covered with
fabric or that well known swirly, plastic ones. It supposed to be good to
switch shampoos. For example, I’ve got oily hair and use cleaning shampoo once
a week. Other times I wash my hair with gentle, hydrating shampoo. On this way
I skip possible irritations, itchy scalp and dandruff. I personally doubt in
high effectiveness of anti hair loss shampoos, but own one anyway. I think it
stimulates my scalp and after I feel better. Try to use more natural products
and don’t use too many products.
Keep your head away from the sun as much as possible; wear hats or at
least protecting spray (yes, you can buy sunscreen for your hair).
Use oil as a hair mask; put it on at least one hour before you’re
planning to wash your hair.
This advice might by strange but anyway – brush your hair. If you brush
it regularly you will experience that normal daily hair loss. But if you don’t
really brush regularly and then go to wash it after let we say four days, you
will see how a four day shedding looks like and will scare you. Another
important thing – don’t wash your hair too often.

personal experience. I’m not an expert, just sharing my thoughts and findings.
