Sponge cake with plums

Good evening everyone!
Today I want to share with you something totally different and not beauty related. Because today its unofficial start of fall and my sugar dropped drastically (I’m trying to lose some weight…) I decided to bake a simple desert. I made a fruity sponge cake, to be more exact – sponge cake with plums.
I hope I’ll write this recipe right, I have never translated something kitchen related before. Let’s get started! This is not a healthy desert; I believe that we all occasionally deserve some sugar. When you decide to treat yourself a bit, pick something you really like.

Ingredients:
8 tbsp of white flour
8 tbsp of sugar
½ tsp of baking powder
7 tbsp vegetable oil
4 eggs
fruit

First you beat egg whites into firm show. Then you add egg yolks and sugar and mixed everything until the whole mixture grows a bit.

After that you carefully add flour, mixed with baking powder. I usually do that with my wire whisk.  As you sip flour into bowl you also add some oil on it. On this way it doesn’t sink on the bottom, but nicely mixes into whole ˝composition˝. Adding flour manually can be a problem at least for me, because there’s a high chance that you don’t mix enough and then a bunch of little lumps appears.

At the end, we pour our mixture into baking dish which was previously lubricated with little butter and coat it with selected fruit. In our case, plums.

We bake at 180 degrees for about 20min – it depends on size of you baking dish and oven.
After it gets cold and settles a bit, we slice it and simply enjoy.
I hope this recipe is understandable and not a bad example of writing in English. J
This is a great composition of usually sour plums and sweet cake. It is simple, quick and inexpensive to make. Hope you’ll try this one day too, have a great weekend!
