Bobbi Brown: Nude finish illuminating powder

My first association with Bobbi Brown’s makeup is always quality, great and natural looking performance and high price. It has very good reputation, celebrity clients and everything else what goes along with high end brand. A few weeks ago I decided to splurge on noticeable, but natural looking highlighter. When I saw swatches of Bobbi’s nude finish illuminating powder, I was sold. This is it! This is exactly what I need. Although it’s not a highlighter, it looks like it. Reviews on web sites were not brilliant, but reviewers used this as finishing powder, my intention was to use it as highlighter, so I didn’t mind the problem with noticeable glitters. I bought my first Bobbi Brown product.

Powder comes in 6 little boxes of differed colors; all together they create the lightest shade named ˝01 Porcelain˝. Small boxes have different finishes; partly matte, pearl and glitter. You can use them separately with a small brush or mix them all together. This powder is almost transparent on me with noticeable chunky glitters. Even for a highlighter it doesn’t look great, how would it even look if I would use this all over my face as instructed.

The next light shade is named Bare and looks too dark, so it wouldn’t be a good choice. This is something what Essence or Miss sporty would make not Bobbi Brow - disappointment. The product itself is nicely buttery and not too powdery. The packaging is very elegant, made of quality plastic, with mirror included. It contains 6.6g of product. Something else is bothering me. I thought expensive makeup is made out of quality ingredients, this powder includes talc

A lot of drugstore brands don’t use it anymore. Instead of sophisticated highlighter I got #Littleprincessglitterparty product. Ok I admit it’s fun sometimes, but not for every day. I think I’ll just buy again strobing cream from Artdeco.
