This was a blind buy. I was looking for something new and different. I’m sick of all super sweet scents that are so popular right now. When I’m walking on the streets, I can mostly smell just one so familiar fragrance and that is just sad. We all know which one, right? After weeks of reading only positive reviews I decided to buy it. Naughty meJ.Some even declared this as best flanker of 2017. It is different than expected, but still very pleasant, enjoyable and packed into most gorgeous bottle.

Reviewers described this as dark, mysterious and masculine, but to me it’s soft and comforting. It mostly reminds me of Solea universal cream, mixed with plum and hint of spices and patchouli. I think that roses are to blame for this ˝Solea effect˝. Everything is very well blended together, so nothing stands out to me. Only the beginning can be slightly unpleasant, when strong blast of bergamot, mixed with pepper tickles your nose. Give it some time, it will reward you.

This is my first fragrance with leather note, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Here the leather is mild and somehow comforting to me. First it is mixed with rose and plum. At dry down becomes more prominent and when it appears with patchouli gives some masculine vibe, but nothing too strong.

The bottle is simple, yet so inviting and just beautiful. I like they gave some attention to details: ombre bottle, suede bow and even the bottom has it’s own design.

It has good staying power and it is definitely work appropriate. The price is another story. I bought it from Germany for 54€, on some web sites prices start at 70€ - We’re talking about 30ml bottle. I have never tried and other Bottega Veneta fragrance, so I can’t compare it to original or other flankers. It is absolutely a great choice for colder moths if you want to escape that trendy and overly sweet creations.
