A few posts back I mentioned my recent
obsession with green color. This love for green transferred also on my nails,
because I bought my first green nail polish. A year ago this would be
definitely ugly looking and strongly inappropriate, but now I’m really enjoying
my green nails. It’s just color that cams me down and somehow feels
comfortable. I must admit it was quite difficult to find a good shade, because
not all green polishes are pretty. I hate minty or too dark, too shimmery or
too gold… Yes I’m very picky and finding perfect shade was whole project.
At the end I was selecting between three
polishes. First one was Zoya - Ireland and the second and third ones were two
from OPI – This isn’t Greenland and Stranger tides. At the end I bought the
last option.
Stranger tides is nail polish from older
collection called Pirates of the Caribbean from 2011. This color is available
only on line I think, especially on Ebay. I was skeptical about its quality,
because it’s older, but got it in very good condition. Maybe it’s a bit
streaky, but if you try a bit more, you’ll get even application. I don’t know
if formula was different 7 years ago if it’s this just because it’s older. It
is thinner color, I was afraid it will be thick.
Stranger tides is pale, light, muted green with
brown undertones which are only visible under some lights. I think it looks
very chic and unusual elegant. By my opinion it is office friendly, but not all
occasions appropriate. Formula is cream, opaque in two coats. I had some
problems with drying time of recently purchased polishes, but this is
surprisingly great.
I would highly recommend Ebay store where I buy
my polishes - CBNAILSTORE428. They are located in USA. They stock a lot of older collections and also the latest from popular brands (gel and laquer), like Essie, Jessica, Orly, CND and many more. Selection is really great. I'm also very happy with fast delivery to Europe. In our country OPI costs 13€. If I ordered from Ebay, I pay around
10€ for it, with expensive shipping included.
