Best beauty findings in 2020

Well hello there and welcome! I usually don’t do yearly favorites or even monthly favorites but this time I’m going to make an exception. I just feel like sharing this with you although you will not be extremely surprised with my selection of products. This year most of my beauty related shopping was done on the internet, so that means a lot of relying on other people’s reviews and great marketing descriptions. The good thing is that I spent less, but still quite a lot. I hope that changes in the upcoming year.

Let’s start with makeup. 1. Urban Decay – Naked honey palette: I had this on my radar for almost a year before I finally decided to buy it and it became my absolute favorite eyeshadow palette. These colors are stunning, super easy to blend, and simply flattering. It is very versatile and definitely not boring. 2. Benefit – Bo ing cakeless concealer: the best thing for my under eyes I have ever tried! It never goes into my fine lines, has great coverage, and lasts all day. The only thing that is ¨bothering¨ me is that I picked the shade that is slightly too light for me, but I can work it out. Surely something I’ll be repurchasing. Also, the packaging is too cute and very inviting. 3. Chanel - Ultra le teint velvet: I adore Chanel’s foundations and powders. They are expensive but very natural looking and simply trustable. I am not a foundation girl by any means, but since I got some sun spots on my forehead I sometimes feel the need to cover them. And also I struggle with oily T-zone and this product is my savior. It offers light to medium natural-looking coverage and very long-lasting mattifying effect, which is especially appreciated during summer months. The packaging is very simple and almost silly looking for a luxury brand, but it is practical and good for traveling. When it comes to Chanel’s makeup, foundations are worth trying.

Fragrance department coming up next! One and only: Dior – Hypnotic poison roller pearl: I avoided this fragrance for years. I tried it a few times at the drugstore and never liked it. My big mistake was that I only put it on paper and never on my skin. So I could not understand all the buzz around it. But then one day my co-worker wore a stunning new fragrance that impressed me immediately – it was Hypnotic poison and that convinced me to buy it. I decided on a rollerball version and it’s amazing. Sweet, powdery, cozy, noticeable but not intruding.
