Just some fragments of my screen time

Jessica Braun

YouTube

I subscribed to Jessica’s channel about five years ago and she has been one of my favorites ever since. I like her, because she is very grounded, simple and realistic. She doesn’t fake her life if you know what I mean and does not promote everything possible. I always felt that closeness, some kind of virtual connection between us if you will. I consider her as my YouTube friend although I don’t always agree with everything she says or does.

She and her husband Tayler always create interesting and often funny content about their work, travel and everyday life with their 3-year-old daughter Genevive.  I admire their passion for cooking, working out and trying to live more fulfilled life in general. Each December they prepare short daily vlogs for Vlogmas and that is something I really enjoy and always look forward to.

Walking commuter

YouTube

I am a very new subscriber to his channel, so I don’t know much about its creator. To be honest I don’t even know his name. All I know is that creating walking video around New York is his side job and that he recently got a daughter.

Anyway, walking around the city, especially now during the pandemic is really a treat, because it is so strange and empty. You can really spot the details that you probably wouldn’t if there was a crow. These videos calm me down and make me happy. I discovered this channel by accident. One night I just could not sleep, so I took my phone as usual and started my night exploring. I got hooked and just couldn’t stop watching. Idea behind this content is basically very simple, but effective. I really enjoy my virtual walks around the city and feed my imagination and traveling spirit inside of me.

Karen the Brit chic

YouTube

I rarely watch all Karen’s videos, but I never skip her ˝What everyone is wearing in New York˝ series. She walks through the city and stops fashionably dressed people on the streets. She like individuals who step out from the crowd because of their outfit. I admire brave people who can pull off basically everything the put on themselves. I am very shy when it comes to experimenting with clothes, so this is a breeze of fresh air for my fashion rules and prove that fashion is just a game of styles and colors. I believe these series of videos are more seasonal and occasionally in some transitional period too.

Geaux Gretchen

YouTube

When it comes to piercings, she is my educator and a role model. A few months ago, she even answered to my question in one of her YouTube videos Yaay! I was shocked, but very happy. Gretchen is tattoo and piercing enthusiast, she also loves playing videogames. Her knowledge about piercings and aftercare is huge and trustable. My big wish is to get my conch pierced one day, but I’m a chicken, so I keep delaying my appointment. To do it or not? What will people say? She doesn’t have similar problems, because she simply doesn’t care. And yes, her conch is beautiful and I admire it every time when I see her.

Fragrantica horoscope

Fragrantica

This is not a YouTube channel, but my most visited web page I think. It is not only a source of great information about fragrances, but one a week, on Sundays, I go her to read my weekly horoscope. I am not obsessed with predicting future or zodiac signs, but It is so well written that I enjoy reading it. And at the end, there is always one fragrance suggested, depending of what sigh you are. Usually, notes and descriptions wise it is right up my alley.
