Almost perfect: Benefit concealers

It’s been over a year now since I decided to give Benefit a try. This brand is not available in our country, so I was unable to test anything before buying and was only relying on pictures and reviews from the internet. I desperately needed a good, high coverage concealer and it just sounded like this is exactly made for my needs.

Benefit Boi-ing cakeless concealer was my first and brilliant choice because it is just perfect. It covers my dark circles beautifully, doesn’t emphasize my fine lines, and stays in place for hours. It is easy to blend and you need just a tiny dot for a huge difference. It dries to a mat finish.

The first time I ordered shade 04, which is a bit light for me, but somehow I managed to blend it nicely with my foundation. In my second order, I selected shade 05 and it is the right one for me. It actually came in the mini set that also included the travel size of their under-eye setting powder (which is huge by the way). I don’t use this powder very often, because my skin got super dry and even scratched since I wear a face mask all day. I think it will be useful during the summer. It provides that extra blurring and sets everything nicely.

Yes, and because my under-eye area is now damaged, I need to use heavier eye cream or primer otherwise this concealer fails badly. It is not made for dry skin and looks awful. How cute is the packaging!

Because I was so impressed with my first item, I couldn’t help myself but try more of their products. For the summer, I ordered Boi-ing brightening concealer – which is supposed to neutralize your under-eye area and give you that fresh, well-rested look. And for me, it does exactly that! It also provides full coverage, with a slightly glossy finish. I find it a bit harder to blend than liquid concealers, but it’s not such a problem. The best way to do it is with your fingers and once it is warmed up a bit, it applies quite smoothly.

You get a lot of product in that little pot and it will last you for a long time. This reminds me of our cult European product – Artdeco camouflage cream.
