Because I am quite on the pale side, I’m a huge fan of different cheek products, especially blushes, but I struggle to find flattering shades that apply effortlessly. Products are often super pigmented or stuffed with childish-looking shimmer. Anyway, I finally found something that I really like and it doesn’t make me look funny.
Sex Appeal from NARS is pale, almost pastel looking, mat peachy blush with a hint of pink. It is very soft and just slightly buildable. Well, at least on my skin tone. You cannot put on too much, which is a huge plus for me.
It strongly reminds me of those all-over-face brightening powders that usually come in similar salmon shades – I used to own the all-over beautifying powder from Makeup Factory and used it as a blush.
It blends nicely and gives that highly desirable fresh look. Because it is so subtle, there is much room for a complementary highlighter. So, if you have a lighter skin tone and you are looking for something soft, barely there, this is for you.
The packaging is standard for this brand. I don’t like it very much, because everything shows up on such rubberized plastic cases and they are also tricky to clean.
