Vila Hermanos: Orange blossom & honey candle

Almost immediately as the evenings got a bit longer and colder, I was on a hunt for my new seasonal candle. Fall is my favorite part of the year and I always want to mark it with some decoration and dedicated scents. My most loved candle of the season is for sure Ebony & Oak from Yankee candle, which was sadly discontinued, but I also wanted to try other brands.

My selection was Orange blossom & Honey by Vila Hermanos because I love both of the notes. Especially honey sounded like a great and cozy selection for upcoming weeks. I discovered this brand on Notino and never heard about it before, which is a shame because this candle is really great. As far as I read, Vila Hermanos is a family own brand from Spain founded 1884 and all of their candles are hand-poured and made of natural ingredients. The candle came in a nicely designed orange box and the inviting smell of the honey was already present.

The main note I get when this candle is burning is that old-school, slightly soapy honey. It is not sweet, but slightly creamy. A bit later we get some flowers and a hint of sweet freshness. But during the whole time, honey is the main actor. I can’t get any specific orange blossom or that fruity orange, just honey and some kind of flower bouquet.

The scent is very pleasant and quite strong for my small room. This candle is smaller and weighs 200g. It comes in a very basic orange glass with not that inviting sticker. It is not the best-looking candle but is not a bad one either. Some of the other collections from this brand look absolutely stunning and would make a great gift.
