What is happening with Yankee candles?

I’ve been a Yankee candle fan for about five years now. I mostly had only a positive experience with them, my only problem are my occasional headaches, caused by the strong scents from the candles. But that is individual, because our sensitivity to the scents is different, so it is not a real complaint to the company or products.

But lately, I’ve experienced a different kind of issue – irregular burning. I am not a candle expert, I trim my wick regularly, I use illume lid for even burning and that is about it. And in the past few years, everything was fine – candles were done when they reached the bottom of the jar, but not this year. Something is off.

It started with the Elevation line and I thought it looked bad, until even worse happened to the medium jar from the classic line.

It is a shame because this candle had quite a few hours ahead to burn. Don’t you think so?

I am still a Yankee candle fan, but I would like to know what went wrong here. If you have any suggestions or recent similar experiences, please let me know.
