Disappointment over Chanel fragrances

Here’s my quick behind the scene story: My love for Chanel fragrances started about four years ago. I was so curious about their famous perfumes, so I slowly started to explore this luxurious name. You need to take it slowly with Chanel, because it is expensive. I absolutely can’t stand their best sellers, but I surely found my own favorites. So in the past years, I built my mini Chanel collection, which now contains six fragrances. My most loved one is No. 5 Eau Premiere and the second one comes from Les Eaux line – Paris-Venise. And here my love towards the brand ends for now. I think that Chanel got too boring and too flat for me. I get so much more joy from other, different kinds of fragrances right now. But anyway, this is a matter of taste, I have other complaints about the brand to share.

The quality of the bottles they sell their perfumes in is very poor. I’m talking about the regular line here, not the Les Exclusifs for example, I am sure those are better.

Here we have my beloved No.5 Eau Premiere. This is my second bottle and the same thing happened with the first one – the sprayer stuck. I followed some advice from forums, but nothing worked, so I bought Travalo and solved the problem. But that cost me an extra 10€. When you buy an expensive fragrance, you don’t want to spend even more money just to use it normally.

Then the same thing happened with Coco Noir. I bought another Travalo.

I just hope that my huge bottle of Paris-Venise survives will be spared of this problem.

And as the last example, we have the exterior of Chance Eau Tendre. This bottle is approximately one year old and looks much older. There are dark dots everywhere.

I store all my fragrances in the same place, under proper conditions and I only have problems with Chanel. These fragrances were bought by official retailers, they all have batch numbers, so I am sure they are genuine. I believe this is a big shame for a brand like this and they should definitely do something to improve the quality of their packaging.
