Welcome and happy first day of meteorological spring!
I love Origins and their GinZing line is one of my favorites. It smells and looks so optimistic, uplifting and immediately fills my dull skin with some color and life. So it was very logical for me to explore more into the line and try also other products besides my beloved daily moisturizer.
I just find out that I actually bought an old version of the cream (aka. Original), now it is enriched with vitamin C and has a different formula, I assume also texture and it comes in two shades...
GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depouff – it has a light creamy texture, but it is rich enough to nurture your under-eye area. The application is pleasant, but the product lacks that orangey smell, typical for other products from the same line. Oh, I miss that so much, because it would be very nice and refreshing. It absorbs quite fast and does not irritate my eyes, but as it dries down, you are left with an occasionally noticeable shimmery finish – so here is that brightening effect. The first week of use I thought that I superficially removed my eye makeup and that shimmer must be from my eyeshadow. But no, it was from my new cream. I can not talk about any visible instant results (as I do with my eye patches).
And the last thing I want to mention is the price, it is super expensive for what you get, I paid almost 30€. Maybe the new version is better, but if you’re planning to get this old one, I would not recommend it.
