In the past few years, a regular workout routine became an important part of my well-being. I am not super fit and don’t even look sporty, but I like my cardio ˝me˝ time and consequently feel so much better. I usually sweat on my elliptical three times per week and here is my simple after workout skincare routine:
Makeup removing and cleansing
Honestly, I hate
this part, but it is necessary. I love applying makeup in the morning, but
removing it is so boring. Anyway, for my eye makeup, I like to use two-phased
micellar eye makeup removers with oils. These are the best, especially for
potential glittery parts, but can feel heavy on eyelashes. They create that
annoying coat, so I like to wash that off with my second cleanser.
Although my T-zone can be super oily, I like to use
cleansers for sensitive and dry skin, because I found them so much more
comfortable to use. And some of them are even gentle enough for my eyelids. I
often apply them with my Foreo Luna mini 2, which is super satisfying to use,
because it also offers a gentle relaxing face massage. But it is not something
I would use every day, because it can be too harsh for my dry cheeks. It is not
a must-have for me but can be nice when removing all those nasty things from
your sweaty face.
Cooling
I used to think that face mists are reserved for posh
people who don’t know what else can they do with all that free time when
relaxing by the pool. Face mists are now my staple because I found them so
relaxing and cooling.
Care
Once that face mist dries, it is time for an eye
cream. I usually workout in the late afternoon, so I often apply something
heavier that would last me during nighttime.
And the last step is always a serum. It depends on
what condition or phase is my skin. I like to switch between light and
refreshing resveratrol and a bit heavier vitamin C.
