Coconut notes, used in fragrances and other scented products can be tricky and often just too fake to be truly loved. When I was searching for my new perfect perfume that included coconut, I discovered some really bad ones, super strong and usually overpowered by frangipani. Dolce Garden by Dolce Gabanna was so often mentioned as an outstanding summer fragrance, but for me, it was a total miss. Then I finally made my way to Lancome counter (I’ve been avoiding them because I can’t stand La Vie e Belle) and found something truly beautiful.
La Nuit Tresor Nude – is yet another flanker of La Tresor family. This one was created in 2020 and I think its release was a bit overlooked because of the whole pandemic situation.
It charmed me right away with its fresh and fruity sweetness. It is so nicely balanced and nothing stands out for me. It is in fact simple composition that works.
I get a bit of tropical vibes from watery coconut and fresh bergamot and a lot of sophisticated vanilla. This is not a suntan lotion type of fragrance, but more like a Riviera stroll one if you wish.
Although it is very sweet, it is still fresh enough to not be overpowering and can be worn during summer. For my taste, it is quite strong, so I use only one spray and that lasts the whole day. It is very uplifting and I like to wear it for work.
The bottle is stunning, but a bit awkward to hold when you want to spray it.
If you are looking for grown-up fresh vanilla with a hint of coconut, then you should try this.
Here are the notes listed on Fragrantica:
