This is it you guys, I finally found the one! If you are struggling with oily T-zone like me, then you probably understand what am I talking about. Face sunscreens can be so heavy even if they are supposedly made for oily skin. They tend to sit on the top of your skin and ˝deciding˝ if they will sink and be absorbed or not…
Urban Environment Age Defense Face Suncare Emulsion by Shiseido is different. It is lightweight, blends into your skin quickly, without a white cast, and leaves your face with a healthy, but never oily-looking glow. The texture is very runny, almost like a serum, but when you start applying it, it changes into a bit richer texture. It has very mild scent that goes away quickly.
It shields your skin from UVA, UVB, and pollution and contains SPF 30.
I think this is a great protective moisturizer for all year round. If you are prone to dry patches, especially during the winter months, you will need to add another layer of some product underneath. I had some dryness around my nose and this product only emphasized it. I solved my problem with Mineral 89 from Vichy.
I did some research and found out that there are different versions and even names of this emulsion for different countries. So if I’m not mistaken, for Europe there is one with SPF 30 and added age defense in the title, but for USA and Asia ther is SPF 42 without that extra claim about anti-aging. Don’t know how did they decide about these numbers and marketing strategies, but it is what it is.
The packaging looks cute and it is travel friendly, but I’m afraid it will not last me long.
