Today
I’ll write about my hair and favorite hair products. Ma hair is dark brown,
quite thick, shoulder long and partly curly. I mean curly in a bad way. Sometimes
it looks like a big mess, but I would be very modern in the 80s. And oh boy if
it’s foggy outside, nothing can help. I often wear a ponytail, what I know it’s
not a very good idea. It also gets oily super fast at scalp, dry at the ends,
especially when it’s straightened. Another problem that I’m dealing with is gray
hairs. I color them every 3 months or so. I got the best results when I colored
them myself at home. I was never very happy when my hairdresser dyed them.
First time, the color was too weak and didn’t color grays, and then second time
my hair become orange-red (mostly on outgrown part) instead dark brown. I’m
most satisfied with all types of colors from L’oreal and the brand which I
can’t stand is Syoss.
Tomorrow
I’m going to the hairdresser to cut my and I’m a bit nervous. I know changes
are good, but I simply don’t like them. Usually I need a few days to get used
to my new hairstyle; although changes are not going to be dramatic (at least I
hope so). I’m planning to get an A-line bob cut, which I used to wear some time
ago and I liked it. About the length – not too long, but not too short either
of course. Maybe I’ll post before and after pictures, don’t know yet.
OGX Kukui oil shampoo (hydrating and defrizzing)
This
brand came in our country a few months ago and I really wanted to try it. I
think there were 6 different types of shampoos and conditioners. They got me
with these words on a label: Every day is going to be your best hair day. So
far, it’s true. I am impressed how soft and clean my hair is and the smell is
just amazingly summery tropic. Shampoo is very thick, so you don’t need a lot
of product. It foams very well. I was afraid my hair would get greasy even
quicker, but this didn’t happen. About defrizzing – it’s not working, but I
didn’t have high hopes that it would do the magic. It cleans very good, but
doesn’t leave itchy scalp and dandruff. Glad I picked this one.
Caudalie oil
I
primary bought this one for using it on my very dry skin, especially for nursing
my legs during summer months. And yes, it a very good moisturizer, sinks in
very quickly, doesn’t leave traces but… it smells terrible! I can’t describe
the smell, but according to information from the web, it smells like roses and musk.
It’s my mistake; I didn’t try it before I bought it. They even sell a perfume
in this line of products and it’s not cheap. I tolerate this oil on my hair,
because I rinse it off anyway. I use it like a mask, a few hours before I wash
my hair. I put it just on my lower half of hair and especially on parts, where
I put my hairband and bobby pins.
Batiste dry shampoo - dark
This is my first dry
shampoo, so I can’t compare it to any other. It does it’s job. I wanted to try
the colored one, because I was afraid of white traces on my hair. I already have
some gray ˝highlights˝, don’t need to point them out. You just have to be
careful that you don’t spray it on your skin (ears, forehead) and forget to
wipe it off. Also I don’t recommend going to bed with this thing on or in any
way get in contact with lighter fabrics (be careful with clothes). The smell is
similar to a hairspray and quite strong for a while, but then becomes tolerable.
It’s an occasional saver, but I wouldn’t use it all the time.
John Frieda Briliant brunette shampoo
This is my longtime
love, mostly because of the smell. Yes I love just because it smells so good,
like caramel and cocoa. I would love to have a perfume similar to this. This
shampoo supposed to stress your natural dark hair color and leaved it super
shiny. I’m not sure about this effect, but it definitely leaves your hair very
soft and smooth – and perfumedJ. It’s more like a good comforter and gives some strange luxurious
feeling. It’s a great shampoo, don’t get me wrong, just too mild for my oily hair.
I use it to skip products building.
