Nuxe - Reve de Miel, utra
comforting body cream
My skin on legs gets especially during colder months extra dry and very
itchy. I tried a lot of creams and body butters, but very a few got my great
results. And I can be very picky about the smell, I generally hate fruit body
creams and shower gels. I already own a lip balm in a jar from Nuxe’s Reve de
Miel line and I adore it. It smells and tastes like sweet biscuits with honey
and orange. I thought body cream from the same line would smell at least
similar to it, but I was wrong. It smells like a bee wax, which I don’t mind,
but was a little disappointing. As a moisturizer is very good, sinks into the
skin very quick and lives it smooth and soft. It’s suitable for sensitive skin
and you can also use it on your legs right after the shaving. I love the
packaging, because it has a pump, so is very handy. I’m just concerned that it
won’t last very long, because I use it a lot. On a regular price in our
pharmacies it’s very pricy, around 22€ for 200ml, but I found it online for
12,90€.
Afrodita Wild orchid shower gel
I’m a typical girl, a shower gel must smell nice and pleasant. I usually
don’t like flowery fragrances, but this one is light fresh and not artificial.
On top of all, it’s cheap. I don’t remember the exact price, but I think it’s
around 1,80€. It’s a part of new shower gels line from Afrodita, called Secret
garden. I tried to smell other gels from the line, but don’t liked them as much
as I do this one.
The balm - Balm desert bronzer/blusher
The right bronzer for fair skin is not so easy to find. At least not in
drugstores round here. They are too orangey, too glittery, too dark… You can soon look like a clown or someone who
spent too much time in solarium. I found this two- functional powder by
coincidence when looking for something else on the web. It suits my skin very
good, looks natural, but you must apply it lightly, because it’s very
pigmented. I use it as a blush and it lasts all day on my cheeks. It has tiny,
but flattering shimmer. The package is great as always with The Balm products. Some
bloggers/You tubers mentioned that it has a dusty pink undertone, but I
disagree. It’s brown-orange, maybe even red, but in a good way. I ordered it online for 16,40€.
Yankee candle Riviera escape
This is my fourth Yankee candle. It was on my wishlist for some time and
last week I finally bought it. There were five candles on my list to try, but
this was the only one I liked. It belongs to new summer collection called ˝Riviera
escape˝. It smells like flowers and citruses, it’s hard to describe which
flowers exactly. It’s a pleasant and so far light smell, very suitable for
burning it in my small room. I really like it. I would say it’s my favorite
Yankee so far and it’s not giving my headaches. It’s also nice summer
decoration. It was 11,90€ in the Yanke candle shop.
This gel is part of limited edition collection, named ˝Little eyebrow
monsters˝, entirely dedicated to eyebrows. It’s my first, so I can’t compare it
with any other. I didn’t have high expectation from it; I bought it from pure
curiosity. If you apply it heavily, it holds quite ok, but takes some time to dry.
It lives brows partly hardened and a bit shiny. There’s no itchy feeling or
something like that. I still think that trick with hairspray works better, but
I’ll continue to use it anyway. I don’t remember the price, it was around 3€.
One day, I would like to try products from Anastasia, if I find them cheaper
somewhere.
Bourjouis Radiance reveal concelear
– 01 Ivory
Even though I own a very good highlightening concelear, I wanted to try
this. It has great reviews, even my favorite You tuber likes it, so it was a
must. It’s not heavy, blendes very well,
but it goes into fine lines. I always use a powder to fix it, but it’s not
working. I also try to use it with an oil to skip creasing, but without success
so far. It’s available in three different shades and I bought a shade 01 Ivory
that’s a bit too light for me. I mean, it’s ok, I do wear it, but it’s not
perfect. I do like the packaging, it looks elegant and expensive. It’s made
from plastic, but looks like milky glass. The price was around 8€.
Giorgio Armani – Sun di Gioia
I saw the announcement for this fragrance a few months ago on
Fragrantica.com and immediately it went on my ˝want to try˝ list. Then finally
a long time expecting moment has come – I try it and decided that this one goes
home with me. It has nothing to do with other Gioia’s. It is summery fresh, but
also very sweet and a bit powdery at the same time. There’s no citrusy or
aquatic note, so it’s not a typical summer fragrance. It smell like frangipani
flower, mixed with vanilla and some soft amber. I miss a coconut note as I
always do in fragrances. It just skips my nose or mind I don’t know. The bottle
is beautiful, orangey-sheer, the same shape as other Gioias. The only problem I
have with it is that it occasionally gives me rashes, so I mainly use it on my
clothes. So far, there have been no stains on fabric, but the smell is a bit
different than on the skin. It’s less fresh and sweeter. I still like this
fragrance very much and think it will be perfect for summer. Oh I forgot to
mention, it’s more like a skin scent and very office appropriate. I bought in
in Muller for 50€, but you can find better deals online.
OPI- I Am What I Amethyst
This just came in my mail yesterday. This polish is from new ˝Soft shades collection˝ for 2016. From pictures that I saw, I was
convinced that it’s a pale lavender color. Maybe that’s true on some
lightening, but mainly it’s purple/blue or periwinkle as many people say. And not so very soft, quite bright.. It’s
a bit sheer for a crème polish, so you will need three coats for perfect color.
I paint just two coats, that’s ok for me. It’s a bit uneven color, but that can
be solved with thicker coats I think. Overall I like it. It’s a bit out of my
comfort zone, but I’m getting used to it. I found it on Ebay for 9,90€.
