All my blushes

Today I’m going to present you my blush collection. Ok, it’s a mini collection to be exact. I used to be afraid of blushes, because I thought they would make me look unnatural or clown-like. Sometimes they do. If a color is very pigmented it’s so easy to apply too much, but you can always repair ˝the damage˝ with extra blending or just wiping it off a bit. So don’t be afraid of bright colors and shimmer, just try what you like and apply light handed – you’ll be just fine.

Let we start with two of my favorites. First is Instain long wearing blush from The Balm in color Pinstripe. I’ve got quite pale complexion, bur adore deep, plummy colors. This kind of color was very difficult to find in our drugstores, so I eventually gave up, and ordered it from The Balm. It’s a rosy/violet/brown with some subtle golden shimmer. Shimmer is not visible when the color is blended also the color becomes more dusty/rosy/red on my cheeks. It’s not a true plum when is applied. Oh dear God, I hope you still follow what I’m trying to say. I love this, but I’m still searching for the perfect plum shade. The packaging from The Balm is just very nice and appealing. This blush comes with a mirror inside and the front side is like a newspaper cover, what I find to be very creative. The color is super pigmented and very long lasting. I haven’t worn it for a while now, but I will definitely continue to use it in the fall.

The second favorite of mine is a gorgeous lilac color from Catrice. It’s their defining blush in shade Lilactric. I like this one because you can’t overdo it. It’s not very pigmented color, but appropriate for so many looks. Sadly it doesn’t show up very lilac but more pale silver/pink, but it definitely gives you that fresh look we are all trying to achieve in the morning. This is a mat color, so I like to sometimes use it with a highlighter on top of my cheeks. It comes in a firm plastic case and looks more expensive than it is. It’s perfect for pale skin and you can never go wrong with this one.

Next we have two baked blushes from Makeup revolution, they are called Vivid Baked blushes. First is on color Hard day. I sometimes use this one as a bronzer. It’s a brown/rosy color with some silver shimmer. I don’t know why, maybe it’s just in my head, but this sometimes looks orange on me. Maybe when I apply too much. You certainly don’t need to use a highlighter with this. It’s quite shimmery and a bit frosty, but very pigmented. The packaging is compact but however mine already broke and I didn’t carry this blush with me around. The price of these blushes is ridiculously low so, it you like shiny blushes this is a real bargain.

The second color I own is called Bang bang you’re dead. This one is pretty frosted baby pink color with lots of silver shimmer. It’s more like a pink highlighter. It is nice, but for my taste too shiny, especially on my oily face. I use it mostly during colder months, when my skin is not that greasy, but now, it’s resting in my upper drawer.

Let’s continue with another product from Catrice, it’s their Blush artist shading palette in color CorAll I Need. Now this thing really surprised me. I was not even planning to buy it, but when I saw the colors in person, it had to go with me. Ok and maybe I was also a bit sad that day, but never mind. These berry/coral shades are stunning, very soft, easy to blend and quite pigmented. This is some king of trio blush mini palette. Firs we have a medium bright berry color with shimmer, then is coral/pink matte shade and the last one is a soft coral highlighter. This is not a typical color selection I would go for, but sometimes is just fun to try something new. I need to apply these very lightly and blend well otherwise I look funny. This palette is great for summer and traveling, also the packaging is very travel friendly. Two colors are quite shimmery, but that looks great for my opinion. It’s not too much. The lasting power is pretty ok, overall a very nice surprise from Catrice.

The last item is not a blush, but because it’s new, I decided to include it in this post. This is a strobing cream from Artdeco and I have it in color Rose glow. This is a subtle, cream to powder, very soft pink  highlighter and it’s perfect for times when you look tired and want to achieve rested, fresh look. It’s difficult to apply too much, because it blends really good with my skin tone. I just don’t like this cream to powder formula. For me, it would be much easy to blend if it was in powder. And also the dust is collecting on the top of it when it’s open. The packaging if ready for magnetic cases from Artdeco, but I like to keep it in this way with the lid on.
