Hello there and welcome to my blog! This time I’m going to briefly describe my morning skincare routine. My summer days start super early because I need to be at the office at 6 AM.
During hot months I like to use refreshing and cooling products to wake me up and make me feel better. It’s my little ritual and I love it. Hope you’ll find something to add to your morning care.
Step 1 – in the morning I always clean my face with micellar water from Caudalie. It is gentle, but effective and has a light herbal tea-like scent.
Step 2 – occasionally, when I feel super tired and look like a real mess, I like to use anti-age cooling under-eye pads from Balea. They are quite good and affordable, but I’m thinking about replacing them with some kind of face roller. That would be an even cheaper and more permanent solution and most of all could be used every morning.
Step 3 - a good face mist is a must for me, the one I like the most is again from Caudalie, their iconic beauty elixir. Such a calming and refreshing herbal mist. My boyfriend said that the whole room smells like the church after using it and he likes to spray it too.Step 4 - this little bottle of Vichy 89 serum makes a big difference on my skin. It just makes it look healthier and more alive. I didn’t think I need this extra moisture, because my skin is quite oily, but it turned out that it was oily and also dehydrated at the same time. I apply one pump all over my face and also on my eyelids even before my face mist dries. It absorbs quickly and makes you feel super refreshed. I just miss that promised cooling effect.
Step 5 – deep wrinkle corrector eye&mouth area cream by Hada Labo is a solid choice because it is rich enough for my always thirsty under-eye area, but fast-absorbing and non-greasy. It has a white clear, gel-like, and almost runny consistency. It is gentle and does not irritate my sensitive eyes, but I can’t notice any visible anti-aging benefits.
Step 6 – daily moisturizer with SPF 50 for oily skin by Olival. I must admit that I use SPF only during summer because I hate almost every cream with a protective factor that I have tried so far. Good SPF for oily skin is so hard to find, there is always something that goes wrong, but this one is almost perfect.
It is just slightly ˝heavy˝, I mean you can feel that is not your usual moisturizer and it takes some time to absorb, but that was expected. What bothers me the most is that it doesn’t dry to a complete mat finish, so I need to use powder on the top.
