Summer is finally here and it's time to get that bronzy, J.LO glow. I
don’t know if this is still popular to say, because everyone is talking just
about Kylie’s Jenner look recently. But anyway, first I would like to introduce
you two products from Makeup revolution, which I adore and are very appropriate
for summer months. I use them during whole year, but these colors look better
on tanned skin. Makeup revolution has been a much known brand for two years
already; they have very affordable and quality products. They only thing I
don’t like is that everything is made in China. I still trust more to products
that are made in Europe. But I guess you cannot sell just everything on
European market, so ingredients from China must be under some kind of control.
Makeup revolution highlighter
Radiant light – Breathe
This one is supposed to be a dupe from one of famous powders from
Hourglass, but I don’t own both, so can’t compare. It’s a subtle light brown
highlighter with decent silver shimmer. It’s quite pigmented and long lasting. On
my skin doesn’t show up too much, so I sometimes use it like a blush, but still
always with a light hand. It works great also like an eyeshadow, but on the
lids doesn’t last that long, still it a very good multipurpose product. The packaging
is compact, black and elegant with the mirror inside, travel friendly and looks
more expensive.
Makeup revolution - Bronzed
Euphoria palette
This is such a beautiful and handy eye and face palette, perfect for
taking on vacation. The packaging is from black quality plastic and it contains
a big mirror and sponge applicator. By the way, even I have some great brushes,
I reach more and more for good old sponge applicators. It’s not new, it was
released last year in spring, and I’ve got no idea what is now hot from Makeup
revolution. It includes 6 eyeshadows, a bronzer, highlighter and a blush. Shadows
look excellent in a pan, they all have golden shimmer, but all colors are not
very pigmented, especially lighter ones. That’s ok with me, because I like
lighter makeup anyway, even more during hot weather.
The favorite thing from this palette is definitely the blush. It’s a
pretty peachy pink color with golden shimmer. OMG just perfection! A lot of
people say, it a good dupe for famous ˝Orgasm˝ from Nars. Highlighter is a
frosty silver/white, with some brown/gold reflection and quite shimmery, maybe even too much for me. I use it
mostly when I try to create a ˝fresh˝ and ˝rested˝ look (like Monday morning).
Both, blush and highlighter are very pigmented and longlasting, so you must be
careful with the application. The biggest disappointment for me is a bronzer.
It’s too dark and has orange undertones. Maybe it would be good for contouring,
but I don’t use that technique.
Another disappointment is one from the eyeshadows, because I had
different expectations from that specific color. It’s the fourth color and it
looks olive green in the pan, but when swatched, its more orange than green. Very similar to the
last shadow, which is orange brown. I thought it is going to be a perfect green
with golden shimmer, sadly the search for that color continues. Let's talk about prices for the end, I paid around 7€ for highlighter and 10€ for the palette.
