LEGO creator: Botanical series - Flower bouquet

When I was a kid, I used to enjoy playing with Legos a lot. I remember building houses, futuristic skyscrapers, and for an unknown reason often creating my own restaurants. I preferred blocks over dolls, cars, and babies, they were my thing. Then eventually I lost my interest in playing like most teenagers do at some point, but at 33 bought a brand-new set of  Lego creator Botanical series – Flower bouquet . I had to shorten some tops and stems to fit it into my showcase When I saw this, I was so impressed that I just had to have it eventually. Walking from the store with a big box of Legos felt so good and strange at the same time. I don’t care what other thought, I wanted this just for my inner child. Instuctions were clear and easy to follow This set contains just over 750 pieces. From it, you can build 10 large flowers and 5 pieces of greenery to complement your flower bouquet. I bought it in Muller drugstore for 49,90€. It took me about two and a half hours to complete this li...

Not your usual highligher shade, but better: Diorskin nude luminizer in 006 Holographic glow

Over the past few years, I simply got bored and tired of looking at similar shades of highlighters over and over again. So, when I find something different, something that stands out I gets my attention, I get super excited. I already owned a similar drugstore product a few years ago and was very happy with it. I knew that this one won’t disappoint, so I decided to splurge a bit. Holographic glow 006  is my third Diorskin nude luminizer from Dior (I also own 004 Bronze glow and 005 Rose glow). I think that every shade from this line looks stunning and it is worth checking out if you have a chance to buy it. I would describe this shade as pale lavender, or maybe even more blue, pearly iridescent. It can be quite elegant and subtle, but you can build it up to achieve that ˝alien˝ look. It looks flattering on my lighter skin tone, I often combine it with my blushes or even just a bronzer. I love the contrast between its cool tones and the warmth of a bronzer, it is not something that ...

Shiny diamonds - Color lip shine by Artdeco

Is not the most ideal time for wearing lip products because we need to wear face masks very often, but anyway. Lipsticks have some kind of iconic position in our makeup bags and we are not ready to ˝skip them˝, not even during the pandemic. My long-term favorites from so called higher drugstore are  color lip shine  lipsticks from  Artdeco.  They are some kind of hybrid between lipstick and gloss and have been around for quite a few years now. Their formula is super comfortable, non-sticky, very shiny, and long-lasting. You can apply them as sheer pop of color or upgrade to a bolder shade. For my taste, they are ideal, I just wish there were more shades available in our country. S hiny diamonds (85) -  was originally released last summer as a limited edition shade, and you can purchase it online, I am not sure if it is still available in drugstores. On my lips, it shows up as sheer, cool pink with purple glitter, but from the packaging looks like it has q...

Inspiration of the week

Shirt belt dress from Zara  – usually I am not a big admirer of Zara, but this year they’ve surprised me a few times already. This dress looks really promising and I just love similar patterns. A combination of blue and white gives some kind of elegance and sophistication. It can be very traditional, but also modern if you give it a chance. I love it on plates, tablecloths, pillowcases, and clothes of course. Beaded headband  – a few weeks ago I saw a woman wearing a similar piece and I thought it looked so good. She was very casual, but this detail gave her that extra something. I found similar headbands, but they were so poorly made that I didn’t decide to purchase them, but one day, I’ll find my little ˝tiara˝. Knitted top from Comma  – how amazing is this color? And they made quite a few things in the same shade. Knitted tops are very popular this season, you can spot them everywhere, but I’m not so sure how practical they really are for this weather. I would style th...

Budget firendly and simply amazing: Sweet like candy by Ariana Grande

Sometimes you need a break from serious, complex, and overpriced designer fragrances and just wear something extra uplifting and fun. In the past year or so I realized that my fragrance collection is leaning towards being boring. More and more perfumes were somehow left behind and being forgotten because they were just not interesting enough for me. I decluttered a few and that instantly made me feel better. I went back to basics and ask myself what I really like. I remembered that I used to love Meow by Katy Perry, but it is not available here anymore. Then I got introduced to its dupe. Bingo!  Sweet like candy by Ariana Grande  is as I just mentioned, very similar to Meow, but includes more berry notes. It is my first celebrity fragrance after a few years now, and I’m very glad that I turned to explore these shelves again. I would describe it as very sweet, but fresh. I can recognize the notes of frangipani, pear, and some marshmallow. I believe those are dominating. It has ...

Book review - Demi Moore: Inside out

I read this book over a year ago and somehow completely forgot about it. This is a shame because it is quite good celebrity biography. I was never a huge fan of Demi Moore, I mean I knew who she was when I saw her on-screen and I also knew who was she married with. But that was about it, I didn’t know her background. Each time she appeared on a film I would admire her beauty, her figure, and usually long, glossy black hair. I remember seeing her appearing in Charlie’s angles II, I simply thought she is stunning for her age (I think I was fifteen at that time).  Her life was never easy. She had a difficult childhood, her mother and stepfather were constantly fighting and they moved a lot. Consequently, she was often a new girl at school that was far from being easy, but somehow, she found herself again through acting. Later she was struggling with an unhealthy lifestyle, but luckily at some point that was behind her. I was surprised at how low her self-esteem was and how much she ha...
