MAC Strobe Cream - UVLITE review

Strobing was a big thing a few years ago and all sorts of brands came out with their own powder or even more popular cream version. Then came the era of bold highlighters and something subtle and soft was harder to find. MAC was of one of a few that kept their famous strobing cream in their assortment, but of course, they had to discontinue a shade or two. It seems like this spring MAC has returned strobing back in the game big time and blessed us with new products. I picked the new shade of their signature strobing cream – UVLITE.  It is described as cool pearlescent violet and looks just amazing on my cool skin tone. It can be applied lightly and worn subtly, but you can also build it up. It is more compact, less watery and more pigmented than PINKLITE. I am not sure if the whole range has been reformulated or if this is just a difference between two shades. It is still hydrating, but not as wet. This formula is easy to work with, it blends nicely and it is visible. PINKLITE on t...

Not your usual highligher shade, but better: Diorskin nude luminizer in 006 Holographic glow

Over the past few years, I simply got bored and tired of looking at similar shades of highlighters over and over again. So, when I find something different, something that stands out I gets my attention, I get super excited. I already owned a similar drugstore product a few years ago and was very happy with it. I knew that this one won’t disappoint, so I decided to splurge a bit. Holographic glow 006  is my third Diorskin nude luminizer from Dior (I also own 004 Bronze glow and 005 Rose glow). I think that every shade from this line looks stunning and it is worth checking out if you have a chance to buy it. I would describe this shade as pale lavender, or maybe even more blue, pearly iridescent. It can be quite elegant and subtle, but you can build it up to achieve that ˝alien˝ look. It looks flattering on my lighter skin tone, I often combine it with my blushes or even just a bronzer. I love the contrast between its cool tones and the warmth of a bronzer, it is not something that ...

Holographic makeup trend

I'm a huge fan of everything sparkling. When I see shiny things, I’m like a kid in a candy store. They are like magnet to my eyes. Sparkling things in makeup can be scary and over the top. I mean they look gorgeous, but can be wearable? Truly wearable for daily use? Yes they can! Holographic trend has been strongly present in fashion and beauty industry for some time now. I lately spot it mostly on accessories and all ranges of makeup. It’s not just for teenage girls anymore, we also see it in makeup for ˝grown up’s˝. I recently bought two holographic makeup items. First one was truly love at first sight; I bought it immediately when I saw it. My dreams finally came true, they made lavender highlighter! This is actually highlighting duo from Makeup factory named ˝Holographic illusion powder˝ and was part of holiday collection presented back in December. It might be made for holidays, but also for soft spring looks.  It contains violet (lilac dimension...
