Mixa Hyalurogel Serum vs. Vichy Mineral 89

Welcome to the great battle of the two tiny bottles:  Mixa Hyalurogel sensitive skin serum vs. Vichy Mineral 89.  This comparison will be made from the point of view of the average user, so don’t judge me. They were both created to fight against dry and dull skin. Their mission is to provide your skin weightless hydration and consequently plump it and also give it that healthy look and glow. That sounds great, but do they work? I will not get into ingredients, because I’m not an expert in that, let’s just look at more ˝basic˝ things.  When applying… I find that Mineral 89 gives me way more of that refreshing feeling after application than Mixa, which is stickier, thicker, and less watery. Also when they dry down, Mineral 89 quickly sinks in and blends with my skin, while Mixa stays on the surface and it’s a bit… sticky. Results on the skin They are both very hydrating and help a lot with my dry patches. I also apply them to my lids without any sort of irritation, they eve...

Lookbook: Late summer plaid

The first thing that came to my mind after I saw this green checked jumpsuit was: How gorgeous must that look on tanned skin? The pattern is classical, but the color makes it fun, less serious, and more modern. You would feel great and confident wearing this because it is light and flowy. You can cover up some insecurities, but also emphasize your figure. And if you are able to avoid public bathrooms for the occasion, it’s a win-win situation. To complete this monochromatic vibe, I chose a bag in the same shade of green. I am obsessed with this color, but I don’t find it as the best selection for a bag, because it is not so versatile. In my opinion, it ˝crashes˝ with many common things from my wardrobe. But maybe, that is just my problem… For a touch of glamour, I added light golden shiny sandals with gems and a wider bracelet. Morning skincare routine

I feel like each year we get more and more overwhelmed with new information about skincare. It is all about anti-aging and looking forever young and fresh. In the end, you don’t know what your skin needs and what is actually good for you. My inner voice always says (ironically this voice is quiet when it comes to my personal life) to keep things simple. So today I am representing my simple morning skincare routine. Gentle cleaning  – in the morning I like to use refreshing micellar water. My current one is from  Garnier – BIO Organic Brightening Micellar Water with orange blossom . Gosh, that sounded fancy. It is very gentle, but effective. I am not a big fan of the orangey-herbal smell, so because of that, I will not buy this version again. But otherwise, it’s a good product and a great affordable option. Moisturizing serum  – I added this to my routine just a few weeks ago, but it makes such a difference. Although my skin can be oily sometimes, it is also dehydrated....

Milani: Silky Matte Bronzing Powder in 01 Sun Light

If your skin is on the paler side like mine, you are probably familiar with all the challenges we face while searching for our flattering bronzing shade. Especially if you are looking for affordable, drugstore options, that can be disappointing. High-end bronzing powders are quite known for being ˝fabulous˝ all the way (hello Chanel) and come in a wider spectrum of colors, not just two options with strong orange undertones. I recently discovered something great and affordable –  MILANI Silky Matte  bronzing powder in shade  01 Sun light .   It is a very warm, light brown powder with a matte finish and great pigmentation. Just a gentle dab with a fluffy brush, and you’re done. It blends nicely and stays on until the evening. It is not the perfect choice for me, because my skin tone is cool, but I like the soft warmth that it gives to my face. So I find it great for summer and nicely complimenting my beloved, jungle-inspired eye looks :). The packaging is simple and ve...

Lookbook: Chic city stroll

For this week’s look I selected classy, but fun pieces, appropriate for walks in an overheated city or wherever your heart takes you these days. Although summer is usually filled with bold patterns and flowy dresses, sometimes it’s nice to take a break and wear something basic, but still great. Beige shorts are not reserved for pensioners on a trip and black is always a great idea even during the peak of the season.  Wider beige shorts by HM  – these are very flattering, comfortable, and almost look like a skirt. It’s a great choice for those who are usually avoiding this type of pants because they are longer and will hide your thighs a bit and give you some confidence. Sleeveless top with ancient motive by Desigual  – Desigual rarely disappoints with their creativity. This top is full of motives, but they are nicely put together and it represents a playful addition to the whole look. And the great news is, that you can find it on SALE now, so hurry. Solivan buckle slide ...

Yankee Candle: Coconut splash reveiw

A few weeks ago, when I was totally getting info the summer mood, I wanted a new candle for my room, to celebrate new season as I often do. I didn’t like anything from the current Yankee candle collections, so I picked up something ˝older˝ from the discount corner – Coconut Splash in medium jar. It looked very appealing. Watery coconuts, perfect for me! And the classic elegant white wax works so sophisticated. The cold candle smelled very nice and appealing, I mostly got sandalwood and some fruits in the background with just a pinch of coconut. That was ok for me, I thought that the coconut note should get more prominent once the candle lights up. Well to my nose, this is quite disappointing, because all I get is strong sandalwood, mixed with just a hint of heavy sunscreen. Sadly, it is not that fresh coconut as I expected. And it is also too overpowering for my room, so I can only burn it for a shorter time, just to refresh the air, otherwise it’s a perfect trigger for a headach...
