I feel like each year we get more and more overwhelmed with new information about skincare. It is all about anti-aging and looking forever young and fresh. In the end, you don’t know what your skin needs and what is actually good for you. My inner voice always says (ironically this voice is quiet when it comes to my personal life) to keep things simple. So today I am representing my simple morning skincare routine.
Gentle cleaning – in the morning I like to use refreshing micellar water. My current one is from Garnier – BIO Organic Brightening Micellar Water with orange blossom. Gosh, that sounded fancy. It is very gentle, but effective. I am not a big fan of the orangey-herbal smell, so because of that, I will not buy this version again. But otherwise, it’s a good product and a great affordable option.
Moisturizing serum – I added this to my routine just a few weeks ago, but it makes such a difference. Although my skin can be oily sometimes, it is also dehydrated. Hyalurol gel from Mixa it serves its purpose just nicely. This is my substitute for Mineral 89 from Vichy, but about that in a different post. I use this like some kind of primer for my ˝aggressive˝ sunscreen which tends to cling on the tiniest dry area on the face. I use it on my eyelids too without a problem. It is actually really nice and refreshing.
Eye care – the skin around my eyes and often super dry, so I often select richer eye products. Hyaluron mineral moisturizing eye cream is a very good option from almost a local skincare brand that I really like Afrodita Cosmetics.
And SFP for the end – Shiseido Urban Environment Age Defense fluid with SPF 30. Yes, SFP could be higher, but if I’m staying outside longer, I upgrade my protection with other products, usually sprays. Otherwise, this fluid is ideal for my skin type. Never greasy, never heavy, or noticeable in any way. It immediately clings to dry areas, so be careful about that, but other than that still very highly recommended.
