Lookbook: Slow transition

Here we are in the last days of May, and it is getting hot outside. Not sure when all this happened, but summer is almost at our doorstep. I don't know about you, but I'm not fully ready yet to step into a new season. So with this outfit, I am still clinging to my floral patterns, but flirting with summer with accessories. Fair, right? The central piece is this super expensive, but gorgeous silky shirt midi dress. The pattern does not scream spring to me which is a good thing, because we want to move foreward. As a contrast, I tonned down the whole look by way less expensive things in brown shades. Brown, pink and red work kind of sexy to me, but in a soft and innocent way. Bourjois: Always Fabulous Long Lasting Stick Founcealer

This time we have something exciting, but sadly disappointing. Well, at least for me. Lets’ get into it! Bourjois Always Fabulous long lasting stick founcealer  – this is a stick foundation and concealer in one product. It is supposed to be long lasting, and provide you with a flawless, semi-matte finish and full coverage. It is waterproof and transfer-proof. Ok, that was written on the label. Here is what I have to say – It is a horrible product. Another disappointment from Bourjois. I am not surprised that they are disappearing from some markets. I got a shade  400 beige rose  which was a good match for me. And I also like that packaging and the idea behind it, it is very useful and looks nice. But the formula of the product does not work for me, and I tried it for a week. It is heavy and very hard to blend, so as a foundation it did not work for me at all. Always noticeable, always sitting at the top of my skin. As a concealer, it worked much better. It’s very handy wo...

Plants, candles and everything between

It is time for another wishlist. Today we’ll be focusing on home and beauty. I like being at home, my room is my sanctuary and a place where I can truly be myself. I like being surrounded by plant, but I’m not good at nurturing them properly. So I love low maintenance, simple green ˝creatures˝ that make me feel happy and relaxed. Monstera Minima is not a real Monstera, but it just looks similar and shares a name. It is undemanding, but grows quickly, so I’m am not sure if it is an appropriate choice for my room. Anyway, I would like to give it a try, because I like it so much and I’m sure we’ll find a space if it grows too much. Pip Studio Guest towels set ˝Good evening˝ - I always wanted to own a few fancy smaller towels, just to use on my face after washing, or for protection when I’m applying makeup. Caudalie Vinergetics C+ face detox mask – Caudalie remained one of my favourite skincare brands over the years and I’m always excited when I can try something new from them. I ...

Lancome La Nuit Tresor Nude

Coconut notes, used in fragrances and other scented products can be tricky and often just too fake to be truly loved. When I was searching for my new perfect perfume that included coconut, I discovered some really bad ones, super strong and usually overpowered by frangipani. Dolce Garden by Dolce Gabanna was so often mentioned as an outstanding summer fragrance, but for me, it was a total miss. Then I finally made my way to Lancome counter (I’ve been avoiding them because I can’t stand La Vie e Belle) and found something truly beautiful. La Nuit Tresor Nude  – is yet another flanker of La Tresor family. This one was created in 2020 and I think its release was a bit overlooked because of the whole pandemic situation. It charmed me right away with its fresh and fruity sweetness. It is so nicely balanced and nothing stands out for me. It is in fact simple composition that works. I get a bit of tropical vibes from watery coconut and fresh bergamot and a lot of sophisticated vanilla. Th...

Creating simple nude look

This is my go-to no makeup-makeup weekend look. It is quick and very easy to do, I mainly focus on my most problematic areas and skip all that unnecessary fuss. Let’s dive into it: First thing – I rarely wear a proper foundation, but I’m a huge fan of BB, CC creams, and all possible hybrid variations.  BB cream from Erborian  is one of the best, I’m using a travel-sized one in the shade nude. It offers sheer coverage, but makes your skin tone more even and nicer and also takes away all the excess shine.  Very important – under eye area. If I could choose only one makeup product it would definitely be a good under-eye concealer. Under-eye area is the most problematic for me, so I always focus on it. Glasses can hide some darkness, but not always. One of the best concealers I found is  Boi-ing brightening concealer by Benefit . It offers medium coverage in a very flattering, almost salmon-like shade no. 02. Another gem comes from  Benefit , it is their  Hoola...

Maybelline: Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 review

I bought this out of pure curiosity because like many times, the description of the product sounded just perfect. But is it? Let’s find out together! So this is  Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 by Maybelline  (Instant Age Rewind on the US market), I got it in shade  02 light/medium . As you may assume from the title, this product is supposed to provide you with 4 crucial benefits: blurring, concealing, evening skin tone, and mattifying. When I first applied it I was literally scared because this shade looked super dark and orange, but that went away as soon as I blended it into my skin. Theese shades are self-adjusting and they blend in seamlessly. I just used my fingers and was done in no time. It instantly provided me mat finish and some blurring effect, it felt like BB cream mixed with a mattifying primer. The coverage is really light and looks natural. It is like a better, perfected version of your own skin. The texture is interesting, it’s a mousse, similar to thos...

MAC Glow Play blush in Flowerescent

I’ve been obsessed with the effect of lavender blushes for a while now, but they are very rare at our drugstores. One of the closest options to get without ordering online was –  Glow Play Blush  from Mac in the shade Totally Synced, but when I finally decided to visit the Mac store, it was out of stock. The sales assistant suggested I should try something very similar, and that is how I bought the LE shade from the Wild Cherry collection for spring 2022 called  Flowerescent . Comparing the swatches that I saw online, I would say that the Flowerescent is a bit deeper and warmer, but it is a good dupe. Flowerescent  is a medium cool-toned pink and has a satin finish. It comes in special gel/cream bouncy formula that is easy to apply and blend, looks natural, and is very long-lasting. The best way to apply it is just by using your fingers. The pigmentation is light but buildable. It is a great option for pale girls like me, but also for other skin tones. It lasts on my...
