Maybelline: Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 review

I bought this out of pure curiosity because like many times, the description of the product sounded just perfect. But is it? Let’s find out together!

So this is Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 by Maybelline (Instant Age Rewind on the US market), I got it in shade 02 light/medium. As you may assume from the title, this product is supposed to provide you with 4 crucial benefits: blurring, concealing, evening skin tone, and mattifying.

When I first applied it I was literally scared because this shade looked super dark and orange, but that went away as soon as I blended it into my skin. Theese shades are self-adjusting and they blend in seamlessly. I just used my fingers and was done in no time.

It instantly provided me mat finish and some blurring effect, it felt like BB cream mixed with a mattifying primer. The coverage is really light and looks natural. It is like a better, perfected version of your own skin.

The texture is interesting, it’s a mousse, similar to those jar foundations that Maybelline used to make approx. in the early 2000s. It is funny, because the tube feels so light like it is almost empty.

This blurring/mattifying effect lasts for a few hours on my oily skin, so I’ m am quite happy about that. During the summer I will probably also use a setting powder, now I’ve only worn it alone.

Honestly, my expectations were a bit lower, but I am frequently surprised with these drugstore options.
