Lookbook: Chic city stroll

For this week’s look I selected classy, but fun pieces, appropriate for walks in an overheated city or wherever your heart takes you these days. Although summer is usually filled with bold patterns and flowy dresses, sometimes it’s nice to take a break and wear something basic, but still great. Beige shorts are not reserved for pensioners on a trip and black is always a great idea even during the peak of the season.

Wider beige shorts by HM – these are very flattering, comfortable, and almost look like a skirt. It’s a great choice for those who are usually avoiding this type of pants because they are longer and will hide your thighs a bit and give you some confidence.

Sleeveless top with ancient motive by Desigual – Desigual rarely disappoints with their creativity. This top is full of motives, but they are nicely put together and it represents a playful addition to the whole look. And the great news is, that you can find it on SALE now, so hurry.

Solivan buckle slide by UGG – black leather slides are always fashionable, super versatile, and in most cases very comfortable idea. You can easily style them with almost any look and it will not turn out to be sloppy. Opt for quality leather and you’ll be just fine.

Lilica straw bucket crossbody bag by Guess – I love this mixture of materials, it looks different and more relaxed. This one would make a great companion to all your casual summer and even early autumnal looks. And as always this bag is available in many styles.

Wayfarer original sunglasses in fleck classic brown by RayBan – you can never get it wrong with a pair of classic sunglasses. These will always be in style and your eyes will be thankful.

And for the end something from my reading wish list – Mean baby by Selma Blair

I am fascinated by her and her life story, so would love to learn more. I think she is a true fighter and a great inspiration. Not to mention that this book is highly rated and praised by the respectable book community.

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
