First impressions: Clinique, Nivea, Balea, Afrodita

Clinique Moisture Surge hydrating supercharged concentrate – this was a pleasant surprise. To be honest, I bought a small size of it to get free shipping. It had very good reviews, so I choose it, because I never owned anything from Clinique before. This is light, gel like moisturizer with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and aloe water. It is oil and fragrance, suitable for sensitive skin. It gives such a nice fresh feeling, not greasy at all and absorbs very quickly. It also makes my skin more plump and tight looking. You need just tiny amount to deeply hydrate your whole face. It is made for all skin types and works very good with mine which is more on the greasy side. It is so gentle that can be use also as eye cream. I always pick up products made for oily skin, I never tried something what is not exclusively for my skin type, but in the future I surely will. The original packaging looks gorgeous. Gel is pink, enriched with eye appealing bubbles which contain antioxidants. It would be a nice addition to my night skincare routine, especially during summer. I’m not sure about the price, because it’s different from site to site, it’s from 28€ to 43€. Crazy! I WOULD LIKE TO BUY A FULL SIZE.

Balea hand foam – I bought this out of pure curiosity and because it was cheap to try. The idea of hand cream in foam sounded great and fun. It strongly reminds me of hair foam; it is also sticky like it, what is a major downside. And that stickiness doesn’t go away completely. To me it’s not that bad, because I use hand cream only before going to bed. This foam moisturizes very nicely and is not greasy. It leaves hands silky soft and quite strongly scented. I can still smell it when I wake up in the morning, so if you’re fragrance sensitive, stay away from it. Aroma of almonds and vanilla is pretty fake, but not so bad. For the price it’s a solid and cute looking product. I got it for 1,30€. NOT BUYING AGAIN

Nivea Sensitive caring micellar water 3in1 – I selected this to remove my eye and face makeup. It supposed to be ˝eyes friendly˝, but to mine, it’s not. It’s not strong tenough to remove my (non waterproof) makeup. I use this only as some kind of ˝helper˝ to my other cleaners like faces wipes or oily emulsion - just to be sure I took everything off. In this case it works great, but on it's own it is too weak. It contains some grape seed oil to preventing skin from dehydration, but doesn't leave oily traces. The packaging is good, made from solid plastic and doesn’t leak during transporting. Bottle is big, it contains 400ml and I bought it for 3,20€. NOT BUYING AGAIN

Afrodita body lavender soufflé – I’m still obsessed with lavender, so this supposed to be a part of my obsession but it’s actually not. It turned out to have a totally different scent than expected, but in a very good way. The dry down of this body cream smells like Crystal Noir from Versace to me. Just crazy! Texture of this cream is very funny and truly soufflé like. It’s like fluffy pudding with a lot of cream added.  Ha and its ˝dancing˝ if you shake the jar. It feels slightly uncomfortable grabbing it from the container. Cream is not too greasy and absorbs very nicely. It leaves skin super smooth and quite strongly perfumed. So I would not recommend wearing fragrance with this moisturizer. Afrodita is known for their quality and it rarely disappoints me. This became one of my favorite body products. I got it for around 6€. WOULD BUY AGAIN

Yet another expensive list

Welcome to May! A brand new fresh month also means a great excuse to make yet another wish list of things that recently caught my attention. And this is also my birthday month, so I can splurge a bit more. No? Let’s start with something puffy and blue-  Pinko Quilted Nappa leather flat bag . This looks fancier than your usual everyday bag but can be totally worn on many occasions, even if you just go grocery shopping. Why not? Dark blue is gorgeous, very fashionable, and would pair nicely with a plain T-shirt and jeans or your favorite spring dress. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Lumiere eye and cheek palette  – it is that time of the year again and Estee Lauder is out with another Bronze Goddess collection. This palette surprised me because it is not that warm and bronzy. I love that they also included cool-toned shades and that way it is more versatile. I don’t like the ˝cheek˝ part in the middle, I think it is not practical- I mean how can you reach it with a face brush? Anywa...

Lego: Bouquet of Roses - Botanical Collection

It was Sunday after lunch and I enthusiastically concluded that it was the right time to open my new set of Legos. The box waited for me for three weeks now and I was ready. Because when you are an adult, and you know exactly how much you paid for your Lego set, you want the timing for your ˝play˝ to be just perfect. Bouquet of Roses  was released was released in February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. It captured my attention immediately. I always look at Legos also from that practical site of aesthetics. Does this look good? Is it something I can keep on my shelf as decoration? Will it only look like clutter? You get the point. So yes, these roses looked lovely and I bought them for myself.  This set includes 822 pieces, arranged into 6 packs. The whole building ¨process¨ is divided into three parts. At the end you'll get 12 Roses (3 different types) and 4 branches of Baby's Breath. I believe it took me three hours of slow building and just chilling with some old music i...

Relaxation before sleep – watching beauty YouTube channels

(taken from: Tati Westbrook Instagram)       Glam Life Guru - Tati Westbrook Tati from L.A. is my favorite ˝YouTuber˝. Her channel was first which I subscribed to and watched regularly. I found it by coincidence, when I was searching for… you know something. She posts videos every work day, so she is very involved in this YouTube thing, I would say it’s her primary occupation. She recently launched her makeup line, she collaborates with Amazon and some magazines.  I believe her reviews are honest, although things are often sent or given to her. Her descriptions, tests, comparisons and swatches of products are very good. Her videos look very professional. They are also very versatile, from testing the most ridiculously expensive products to the cheapest ones.   She mostly filmes in her (new) beauty room, once a week she’s testing how new makeup items perform during running errands. And those kinds of videos I like to watch the most. Recently her fia...
