Hello and happy
Friday!
Today I want to present to you something a bit different, we’ll talk
about fashion. I’ll show you my favorite pieces for colder days that I already
own and my wish list for upcoming months which already includes summer dress. Stores
already sell summer dresses! Recently I’ve been sort off lucky fashion wise,
because I love latest trends. I adore checked patterns, 70s fashion, mustard
yellow tones, tweed, floral embroidery and classical marine look stripes.
Checked dress with floral
embroidery (Zara)
This is my new addition. I bought it on sale after at least three months
of observing it from far and wondering if I would ever wear this or not. To be
honest it is still waiting for debut. I think that will be next month for my
father birthday when we’re planning to go out for a lunch. I think it is short
enough to be worn over pants and not too warm for upcoming spring. Checks alone
can be boring, so these flowers are somehow uplifting. Hope they don’t look
childish.
Checked top (Reserved)
This is old school and makes me feel grown up and serious, but still
young when worn with jeans. It is comfortable and warm top although has ¾
sleeves. I like to wear it with statement jewelry or brighter lips/nails. Great
choice for many events.
Bag from tweed (Stradivarius)
When I first saw this was like: ˝Oh I need it, it’s made for me˝. My
wardrobe is turning into shades of blue and gray, so I definitely needed
complimentary bag. It is not really well made, but for its price is just ok. It
looks fancy and brightens up my outfit. I needed some time to figure out how to
open it – so embarrassing.
Embroidered bag (Carpisa)
Although this is on my favorite list I have mixed feelings about it. I
mean it looks very beautiful, that’s the reason I bought it, but it’s not as
practical as I thought it would be. Firstly the bag alone is heavy. The best
way is to use it as a handbag, which can be annoying sometimes. It is spacious,
but not too big. Maybe I need to give it some time to get used to it. I mostly
wear only smaller cross-body bags with me, so this is something different.
Still no regrets, because it’s gorgeous to me.
Holographic jewelry (Mohito)
I’m mostly fan of minimalistic pieces, but sometimes you just need
something bigger and shiny to brighten up an outfit and maybe uplift your mood.
I like to wear this with one-color tops. I already got some compliments when
wearing this which I never ever do!
Scarves (Orsay, Stradivarius,
H&M)
Scarves are a must during colder months. They make me feel warm and
comfortable. I love when my perfume stays on them for days. The only thing that
bothers me is that they can be giant and sometimes make me look funny. You know
when scarf in peeking under your coat you know where. That’s akward.
Knitted dress (Orsay)
I’m not a dress person and definitely not a winter dress person.
Sometimes I just feel the unknown and strange power to step out of my comfort
zone and try something new. This was one on those moments. I wore this just
once, but it made me feel quite comfortable, so I’ll surely wear it again soon.
You just need to pick the right day and moment to fit in with your wardrobe I
think. Otherwise you feel like all eyes are on you and not it good way. This
dress is super comfortable and warm. The tricky thing for me is to create the
overall look, like choosing the right shoes, jacket, color of tights, bag. So
complicated!
Checked shirt with floral
embroidery (C und A)
Shirts can sometimes look bad and remind on old farmer. My choice is
classical, red checked with some floral twist. It is very soft and comfortable,
but not very warm, it’s made from blend of cotton and polyester. I don’t like winter
flannel shirts; they can look super dull after some washing and can be too
warm. I also like its looser fit; I think that makes it more casual.
Black jeans with floral
embroidery (C und A)
Black jeans are long wanted must have for my wardrobe. They look more
elegant than regular blue jeans and are more versatile, you know that funeral-
work range ; Anyway, jeans have to be elastic, comfortable for sitting and of
course they need to look good. Classic black trousers can be boring, so I opted
for this embroidered version, which adds a bit off dynamic, but is still
discreet. This fabric is not that magnetic for all little things from chairs
and cushions. Fit itself is almost that ˝skinny legs˝ one what can eventually
be a bad thing. The length of these jeans is a bit shorter than usual which
still bothers me sometimes, but it is what it is.
