I recently wear a lot of nude nail polishes. I’m on some kind of break of strong winter colors and slowly preparing for bolder spring/summer shades. To be honest, nude polishes can be boring sometimes. I sometimes give them some life with glittery top coat. But when softer shade already contains shimmer, can be just perfect. This is one of those.
I saw Godiva when it first came out in 2013, but never had a chance to buy it. For its substitution I managed to get extra glittery, also pixie dust ¨Bar¨, but it wasn’t really that wearable. A few weeks ago I spot it on Ebay for reasonable price and immediately bought it. I must say I’m very happy with my purchase. It is a bit different from other pixie dust polishes I own. It is ˝softer˝ and doesn’t catch on my clothes (pantyhose approved). I find it also easier to remove and less stinky when applying and drying, which is a big plus.
Let’s go to basics. Godiva comes from Zoya and is in pixie dust formula, which means that is textured nail polish. It is cream – beige color, with silver glitter and matte, slightly holographic finish. It is very wearable and office friendly. It is interesting ˝happy˝ polish, without standing out and being too much. I think it wears better than my other Zoya polishes, what was a great surprise.
I was afraid it would look too yellow next to my skin tone, but it turned out to be great. It gets opaque enough with two coats. Application is easy and even, drying time for this kind of polish is quite fast. Formula itself it’s a bit thicker right from the start, I hope it would last at least two years.
