Hello spring nail colors! Although I wear all colors all year round, now it’s officially time for brighter and pastel shades. I even ordered myself a green polish, but it hasn’t arrived yet, so we’ll talk about it next time (if it arrives).
Anyway today I want to show you something from last year’s spring Fiji collection from OPI. The shade’s name is ˝Polly want a laquer˝ and it’s to me true lavender. I blindly bought some lilac-ish shades before, but they always somehow managed to disappoint me. They were even too blue or too violet/pink and never lavender. So I wanted to own this shade so badly and pre-ordered from abroad. Of course it stuck in mail somewhere and waited for it extra long…
Let’s get to the point. This is cream shade. Color is bright and definitely not boring or too vibrant, so it still looks sophisticated and it’s office friendly. Formula is easy to work with but thin, so you might need up to three coats for fully opaque color. Wearing time is good, average for OPI. I’m very glad I picked this; it’s one of my favorite nail polishes, so I would strongly recommend it. It is simply color that makes me happy.
I find OPI collections from this year to be somehow boring. Not a single color from ˝Lisbon˝ or upcoming ˝Grease˝ collection hasn’t impressed me enough to buy it. Older collections were much better and included original colors, I sometimes find something unique enough to buy.
