On Sunday evening is usually a great opportunity
to relax and prepare your body and soul for another working week. To me that means
hot bath, also little manicure and some extra face and hair care never hurts. Basically
every Sunday I try to create a mini spa in my own bathroom for at least 20
minutes. Important part of my relaxing routine is using a face mask.
I start my skincare routine with gentle face
peeling. I currently use creamy apricot
peeling from Afrodita. It’s not my favorite; because it leaves slightly
oily trace on my face, but it still does its job nicely. Maybe it is better
that it isn’t too harsh. It has thick consistency, natural ingredients and
pleasant apricot smell.
Every now and then I use nose patches for
cleaning my blackheads. I haven’t found the most effective ones yet, but better
that they remove something than nothing.
I finally continue my ritual with face mask. I
currently own two from Apivita which
is natural certificated cosmetics brand from Greece; I buy their products in
Croatia, because it’s not sold in Slovenia. So far everything I bought from
them performed great, so I’ll keep exploring their products. I love their
shampoos.
I own them in tube packaging which I think it’s
the most practical and consumer friendly. You squeeze the amount you need and
save the rest for later, it’s hard to do that with those packages for one use. I
choose them based on my skin condition and also my mood.
One is energizing mask with oranges and enriched with vitamin C. I
hate its artificial smell, but it brings my skin back to life, leaving it
hydrated and healthy looking. I leave it on during my bath and the wash off
with warm water. I continue my skincare with eye cream and light moisturizer,
because the mask itself is quite hydrating.
The second one is muddy dark brown, purifying mask with propolis. It leaves
my face super soft and gives that clean feeling, but doesn’t dry out my skin.
It’s not moisturizing enough, so you would probably need a heavier moisturizer
after this one. I like it much better than those with clay which sometimes
wants to shrink your face and soak out life from your face. You need to be
careful with using propolis, because there is a high chance for allergic
reactions. I read that it helped people with healing their acne, because it is
natural antiseptic.
Apivita has great selection of face masks for
every skin type and need and I would highly recommended it, if you get a chance
to buy it for reasonable price. Some online prices are just crazy, usually a
tube of mask costs around 11€. I don’t know yet for how long will it last me, I
would say 2-3 months of regular weekly use.
