CND Vinylux: Vagabond

What do you think about yellow nail polish? My feelings about it are mixed, but sometimes it just feels so good to wear something different, maybe even bolder if you want. Yes, it can look inappropriate or even ugly, but it can also make you feel free.

I would describe Vagabond as quite muted, slightly mustardy yellow. It is out of my comfort zone and far away from being office friendly, but somehow I like it. This is my weekend polish and color that makes me happy. So mission off this shade is completed.

CND Vinylux is new to me and I’m not very impressed with their quality. Maybe it varies from shade to shade, but this polish chips very quickly, if you don’t use their top coat. It supposed to be long lasting, but sadly not on its own, it’s a two- step system.

Color applies patchy, uneven and requires some patience and extra work. This can be very annoying, especially if you’re used to work with top polishes. Formula is very thin, so you’ll need three coats to get the best results. Honestly I’m often too lazy for that and I assume that a lot of you don’t have so time for long manicures. Extra wide brush can be helpful, but on the other hand also too big and bulky.

Vagabond is part of Boho spirit collection from I believe summer 2018. I ordered it on Ebay, because this brand is not sold in our stores, its available only in salons. This color is unique enough to be purchased, but don’t expect too much.

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
