Lately I've been in a mood for sweet fragrances
like never before. I don’t know what happened, it’s not even the right time of
the year for testing heavy gourmands, but I desperately wanted something
containing chocolate notes.
I remember the first time I tested Angel Muse, it was in November last
year. I thought this fragrance is something the most horrible I ever tried. Who
wears this overly sweet and loud perfume? It’s for young teenagers! That was
last year. Now I adore it and wear it every day, even though it’s July. I don’t
care. For now I’ve been wearing it just at home, because I don’t want to cause
headaches to people around me. It is noticeable, youthful, statement fragrance.
Not really office safe. Let’s get to the notes written on Fragrantica:
Top notes: Grapefruit, Pink pepper
Middle notes: Hazelnut cocoa spread
Base notes: Vetiver, Patchouli
I don’t know yet how will this behave in
winter, but I would describe it as Nutella mixed with patchouli (different and
lighter that in original Angel, probably because of vetiver), refreshed by some
sharp citruses. Sounds complicated? Yes it’s a little bit of everything. The
dry down is sweet patchouli, something quite common and familiar, but very
cozy. I can’t recognize vetiver as single note. Maybe I can’t tell it apart
from patchouli, or I’m used to it in different form. Longevity of this
composition is amazing and be careful not to overspray it.
Another thing I adore about Angel Muse is the
packaging. I bought it in the smallest possible and at the same time the cutest
bottle ever. I mean it’s just perfect. I think all perfumes should be available
in 15ml form, just for us who like to try new things and just occasionally
crave certain notes.
I hope some of it will be left for winter,
maybe I even commit to the bigger bottle. There is also edt version of Angel
Muse, but it’s not available in our country. It supposed to be lighter and
fruiter variation of edp.
I hope you got some impression of this
fragrance. If you like sweet perfumes, you should definitely try it. You may
like it even if you hate original Angel like I do.
