Decluttering my makeup drawer

It's time. I need to throw away some stuff… and buy new ones. I should do that some time ago, but I’m emotionally attached to things. Like for example my Chocolate bar eye palette, which I bought in London. It’s not the best palette I have ever had I only use 3 shades from it. Old, sweet smelling and probably full of live habitants, it’s still in my drawer.

Too Faced - Chocolate Bar palette

This is the worst brow gel I ever owned. It is very noticeable, smelling like acetone and non-functional. Like I would put stick paper glue on my brows. First it gives that ugly wet look for quite some time and then turns white. Positive thing is that I can nicely clean and keep the brush. It is also short enough for traveling.

Makup Factory  - Clear brow gel

This poor little thing is also too old. It was good companion and great for my beginnings in brow shading. I liked the colour; it was very hard to overdo it. If I don’t like my new brow pen, I might buy this one again. I’m very excited to try new things; it’s hard to stick to something that works.

Bourjois - Sourcil Precision in 08 Brun Brunette

I would say that this is the best lipstick I own, formula wise. It is very shiny, just slightly sticky and very long lasting. Finish is a hybrid between gloss and lipstick. This shade was never my favorite, but it’s flattering and very wearable. I can’t repurchase it in another colour, because I believe it’s not made anymore. So by by!

Artdeco - High shine lipstck

Little round pot is so rarely in use that I don’t see a point of owning it anymore. Last time I used it was in April, when I went to a ballet show. And I used it only because it is travel friendly and appropriate for carrying around. I mean I’m afraid to travel with my Dior highlighter for sure. This powder is very average and not that flattering I would say. I have another one in stick form, so that one can be my potential travel companion.

Bourjois - Le Petit Strober

I love Master touch concelaer by Max Factor, it’s my favorite, but this one is a poor edition to their family of products. I hate the formula; it contains thousands of little glitters. They supposed to brighten your under eye area, but you look more like that you eyeshadow is leaving you. Applicator is not great either. More luck next time!

Max Factor - Radiant lift concealer

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
