(Almost) empty jar: Origins matte moisturizer with willowherb

As a person with oily T- zone, I'm always on a hunt for good mattifying product. Greasy face, by my opinion, makes you look messy, sweaty and unattractive. Healthy glow on the other hand is something I like.

This is my first product from Origins and based on reviews I had really high expectations. Let me just say that this moisturizer failed all possible tests. It couldn’t keep me matt, not even on the beginning. After a few hours I always looked terrible - super shiny and of course greasy. It didn’t work with primers, foundations or compact powders. What a shame! Luckily I bought the smallest jar.

It has light, almost jelly like texture and absorbs very quickly, leaving that fresh feeling. That’s the only positive thing about it. And ok the packaging is cute, but I prefer containers with pump. Otherwise it is just like average drugstore moisturizer with heavier price tag. It has powerful and overly sweet smell, but that luckily goes away quickly.

So overall impression: Disappointed! I also wanted to try an eye cream from their GinZing line, but now I’m not sure anymore.

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
