My mini lipstick collection

I’m sending you big hello from my home isolation! Hope that you are healthy and staying positive during this difficult and strange time. Now there’s no excuses left for me for not to write, so I decided to have some fun and opened my makeup drawer. I’m presenting you my mini lipstick collection.
As you can tell by this post, I’m not really a lipstick person. Lipstick is usually a weekend thing for me. Just to quickly put some colour on my lips and go. I also strongly believe that majority of lip colours don’t suit me. I mean a red is big no for me, so I’m leaning mostly on the nude and pink side. And yes, during my ¨photo session¨ I realized that my lipsticks are all so similar it was so hard to figure out which shade I’m presenting on which… I might try something new when this chaos gets over.

So I own 5 lipsticks, these are all shades that I’m comfortable with and I wear them regularly. I got rid of everything I didn’t like.

Let’s start with Urban Decay. I have their three Vice lipstick in three different finishes:

Backtalk – comfort mate. It is very popular shade, I’m sure that I found it through Instagram. It is subtle, mauve nude, comfortable to wear and quite long lasting.

Peyote – metallized finish. This one stands out from my bunch. I like it, because it is shiny and somehow brightens up my face. It reminds me on the 90s dance club scene somehow, but in subtle way. I would describe it as metallic rose gold, with emphasis on gold. The shimmery part will stay with you for a long time J

Ex girlfriend – sheer shimmer. This is totally my lips but better with very nice sheen. I love it, it is so easy to wear and I would say that it is my favourite. It is another nude-rosy colour and would be flattering for many skin tones.

The next one is from Bourjois Rouge fabuleaux in the shade 02 A l’eau de rose – this is brighter matte rose shade. I find this formula to be strange. When you’re applying it, it feels like you’re putting on melted lip product. It is very creamy and soft. It is nice to wear and it stays on for quite some time.

The last one is from Bobbi Brown Crushed lip colour in shade Lilac – this formula is a dream. Also the price of this lipstick can confirm my statement J It is buttery and looks beautiful! In person this is deeper mauve shade with cool undertones and semi shiny finish, but you can’t really see that on my picture. It is not very long lasting, but I enjoy wearing it.

From up to down: Ex-girlfriend, Peyote, Backtalk, A l'eau de rose, Lilac
