Lately, I’ve been really enjoying wearing yellow whether it be on my clothes, accessories, or in makeup, so nails are no exception. I’m usually very picky about shades, you know, not every yellow is a good yellow. Some are just too straight in your face and not very office appropriate and I didn’t want to own yet another so-called weekend polish.
I found new summer release Sunny Business by Essie during my scrolling through Instagram pics, like usual, and got immediately attracted by this positive ray of sunshine with the same name as the collection.
Sunny Business is quite sheer, shimmery golden yellow. To me, the focus is on golden what is a shame in some way, because from the pictures I saw online, I expected more of a yellow tone. The color is not very buildable, for the pictures I used three layers and as you can see, my nail line is still visible. Maybewith adding two more, I would finally get my desirable shade, but who wants to do that anyway?

The persistence of the polish was average. I really like the wide brush they finally included, until now all my Essie polishes had that terrible thin brush. If you like sheerer shimmery and positive shades, this collection is for you, but if you’re looking for true yellow, check their previous releases.
