Yankee candle: Coconut rice cream

Coconut rice cream – the only candle that got my attention from the entire ˝The last paradise collection˝. Reading its description sounded almost dreamy. I love the combination of coconut, rice, and cream? I am not a huge fan of tropical scents, but food and spice related are my favorite.

I ordered a medium-sized jar because I go through small candles quite quickly and I wanted to enjoy this for a longer time.

Happy with my purchase? Not really.

I burned this candle for about 4 hours in total and all I can smell is light sandalwood and mostly wax. Maybe if I get super, almost (lashes&eyebrows) dangerously close, I can get a hint of coconut sweetness, but that’s about it. It reminds me of a very classic perfume or an air freshener that is most commonly used in fancy stores. I would say that the throw is medium and not overpowering.

I am quite disappointed with this candle, and still, silently hope that it turns into creamy delight… somehow.

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
