Calzedonia total shaper leather-effect leggings review

Back in January, as one of my New Year’s resolutions I wanted to go out of my comfort zone as many times as possibly. And I did not actually have in mind big adventures or changes, bout mostly smaller things like fashion or food choices for example. As for typical Taurus, this is just enough for me. Ok, let’s get serious people!

Leather-effect leggings trend has been around for quite some time and I love it- on others. Let’s be honest, it is not for everyone and you should style it properly.

I selected black, old looking, shaping leggings with semi-mat finish from Calzedonia. I love the finish, because it is not that straight in your face shiny leather effect, but it is a bit toned down and varies with the light.

The leggings are very comfortable to wear and flattering. They don’t emphasize private areas like some models do and are high-waisted which I like. Another important thing – they don’t make noise while walking, because this material in on the softer and I believe it is even partly breathable.

But by my opinion, there are two negative things about them so far:

·         They still smell quite chemically after washing

·         They are not for cold weather – but would be great for running around and doing your Christmas shopping at your favorite mall

But they also sell the same mode with thermal effect, so the choice is yours.

Because my legs and behind are not on super skinny side, I style them with longer shirts and pullovers or wear them under long coats for walks, so that I feel more confident.

I would like to try more from Calzedonia, because I always wear jeans and this is a nice change and quick escape into the world of comfort.

Wishes

It is time for another wish list or as I like to say it – things that recently caught my attention. Honestly, this is just a small fraction, but I’m too embarrassed to everything out there. The center of the list represents a linen lounge shirt from Intimissimi . I bought one last year and I am super pleased with it. It keeps me cool during these crazy tropical nights and feels very comfortable. I also very much enjoy their silk shirts, but the buttons are simply too annoying sometimes … Now, let’s go up and right to Dior. Another blush? Yes, please! Dior yet again reformulated their famous Backstage Rosy Glow blushes and added some new shades. I always desperately wanted to buy the lavender one, but it was not available in our country. But now something completely different caught my attention – muted, peachy, beige shade – Toffee . I swatched it already and it is pretty, but packed with gold glitter, so I need to try it again to be fully convinced. Smooth&Glow...

Dior Forever Glow Maximizer - Peachy

Apparently this year I have been obsessed with highlighters and blushes because it is time to review another one – Forever Glow Maximizer by Dior in the shade PEACHY. If the Star Glow Filter is very subtle, this is not. It is not tacky and can be beautifully blended, but it’s a real highlighter that serves its purpose. Peachy – light, golden peach with gold and pink shimmer. On my light skin tone, I often wear this as a blush, because I think it works better on me like this. It gives that slight amount of warmth to my face and a subtle golden sheen. It can be built up, but it can also look too much. Now when I’m getting a bit darker I love to put it on top of my bronzer or/and use it as an eyeshadow to achieve a light monochromatic summer look.  Indoor light Sunlight This is a great and versatile product, but I still prefer powder versions of Dior highlighters, they are just easier to work with and blend more effortlessly. I think that with liquid highlighters you always need to be...
