Essie: Sand tropez

As always, when it comes to the good stuff, I’m late for the game. This shade doesn’t need an extensive introduction, because it is almost iconic, this is Sand Tropez by Essie.

It is solid neutral, appropriate for all seasons and all possible occasions and outfits. I would describe it as warm medium beige creme with gray undertones.

This shade looks classy and sophisticated, so it is very office and school-friendly. I was afraid that it will be too boring and will not suit my skin tone, but it looks fine. When it comes to neutral shades they can sometimes simply look too plain.

The formula is thin, fast-drying, and applied nicely and evenly. I love Essie’s wide brush on my fingernails but hate using it on my toes. The color is buildable and completely opaque after three coats. For my pictures, I did just two and I was ok with how it looked.

Although I like it waring on my own, I just love how it looks with another sandy, but glittery and textured polish I own – Zoya Godiva. This pair will be strong during the holiday season.
