Here’s finally another book review from a lazy reader, but I’m hopefully about to change that this year. Wish me luck!
Blowing my way to the top (great title, right?) is I would say a personal development book, full of great advice and inspiration. But sadly, that advice is quite generic and flat. I expected more. More details, more behind the scene stuff, and ¨modern wisdom¨. I understand that she couldn’t share secrets confidential information about celebrities or something like that, but if you create a successful beauty brand and work with fierce people like Kris Jenner, you have to offer us more.
It is not a bad book, by any means. I would still recommend it, especially to teenage readers or those in their 20s, but older readers could be disappointed.
There are some interesting facts included, which I liked. That always enriches the text. Her style of writing is flowy, often funny. She also likes to make fun of herself and describes how she learned from her own mistakes. I even wrote a few quotes from a book, here is one of them:
I like Jen, I follow her on Instagram and think she is a great entrepreneur and I also admire her work in charity, but this book just could be better.
